Fall GetawayPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: The courtesies and friendliness of Housekeeping and staff. Also, the location of the hotel.
Cons: Have the cable working. The cable wasn't working on most channels so we ended up reading. We really wanted to watch a pro football game that was on.
Location: The hotel was central in Vail Village. We went hiking, walking, shopping, dining and saw a movie --- all nearby.
My mini vacation at the Sebastian was wonderful! The hotel and amenities were outstanding. Since the hotel was in the Vail Village, it was in the center of everything we wanted to do. We walked everywhere. Even the trailheads of the hikes we went on were close by. The fall is my favorite time of the year. We had snow, fall foliage, and warm days.

Heart of VailPosted Sep 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Well maintained and comfortable hotel in the heart of Vail with excellent staff. The only thing lacking is a comfortable chair in the room to sit and read although the lobby has multiple comfortable sitting/ lounging areas.

5 star experience without the pretensciousnessPosted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
I wouldn't say the Sebastien is over-the-top opulent, instead it is classically-themed with tremendous service. The staff is always asking how they might help. They saw to all our details from aspirin, free bike rentals, turn down service with scrumptious pastries, free cokes in the room, advice about local trails, champagne and popcorn mixer.... A great place to stay, although for our budget, probably only the shoulder seasons are affordable.

We loved our stay at The Sebastian. The service was outstanding! They even had a DVR to record your favorite shows as well as free movie rental. The concierge gave great recommendations for places to eat as well as things to do. Couldn't have been more satisfied.

Amazing Hotel and Even Better PeoplePosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Location, helpful staff, ease of access from Interstate 70, decor
Cons: In my opinion, nothing.
Location: biking, hiking, running, exploring, shopping
Warm personable service from start to finish from EVERY level of employee. Ideal location, 3 gondolas within 5-10 min walk, literally on top of shops and restaurants and footsteps to others. Staff helped us find our way to attractions and informed of local happenings that were not to be missed. In addition, they kept us low altitude people very well hydrated with lots of water, but the complimentary espresso machine in the room was tops. Great way to warm up along with the comfy robes! We will be going back, even at higher rates, the staff at the Sebastian make it worth it.

Great Vail hotel in great locationPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: See above
Cons: Wifi signal in room was weak
Location: Great restaurants. Close to center of town. Easy near access to hikes. Great biking trails
Facilities were wonderful including pool area with 4 hot tubs, exercise. It has a beautiful lobby and library. Only tried Market for breakfast but other restaurants' menus looked great. Location was great. Staff were very welcoming

Fantastic - and Pet Friendly!Posted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were very impressed by The Sebastian - gorgeous hotel, perfect location, amazing staff that took care of our every need. A Prosecco/Cider social hour in the lobby was a great start to our weekend. The restaurant onsite Leonora, is surprisingly good and even includes a pet menu. My dog (and my kids!) was greeted warmly by all the staff and they provided us with a dog bed and pet dishes for our room. But you would never know by the cleanliness of the hotel that there were any dogs around - so if you're not a pet lover, don't be deterred by the pet friendliness of this beautiful hotel. We will definitely be staying here again.
