Great hotel near Slopes

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Comfy bed, fireplace in the room and a balcony. It was close to everything we wanted to access and near the free bus
Cons: The staff kind of seemed like they hated everyone. Could have been just that is was a busy weekend....
Location: Right in Golden Peaks, walking distance to the slopes, food shops, etc. Vail Transit is an awesome system, you can get almost everywhere free!
This hotel was very comfortable, clean and couldn't beat the location! I would definitely stay here again.

Ski family vacation.

We feel ok about the hotel but there was something missing. we feel it was a hotel more for couples than for families, there is no restaurant in the presimes and the atmosphere was a b it to quiet for us.

Nice Hotel, just one block from sky lift.

No fancy but ok nice and not too expensive for Vail. Location is excellent and my room was fine. Be aware that must pay a daily rate for parking.

Great spring break in Vail

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Great location for a family with kids in ski school. Nice breakfast and afternoon cookies and hot chocolate. Next to the bus stop, but easy walk to every where in the village.

Comfortable and Convenient

Posted Mar 15, 2014
This is the third time that we have stayed at the Tivoli Lodge. The location is very convenient, on the east side of Vail Village, only steps to Gondola One and Golden Peak lift. The bus stops are located right next to the lodge so you can navigate anywhere within the ski area easily. (We flew into Eagle airport and took the CME to the Tivol...so no rental car was needed). The lodge is very comfortable with a friendly owner and staff. They serve a nice breakfast every AM (full serve $17.95pp), but you can save some $$ by walking into the Village and picking up breakfast there,,,we liked the Big Bear Bistro or Loaded Joes. The grocery store is across the highway and less convenient to get to if you plan on making your own breakfast/lunch. The rooms do have refrigerators, coffee makers and a bar sink. We stay in the mountain side rooms with a balcony or patio... these are brighter and face the south so you can sit outside. There is no pool but there are 2 nice HOT TUBS right outside the back patio with a view of the mountain and SUN (south side BLDG). They have a bar and serve chocolate chip cookies/coffee/tea/hot chocolate every day apres ski. There is a "ski room with a conciarge" so equipment can be kept onsite. Although the hotel was redone several years ago our room (#206) smelled a bit musty and the mattresses on one side were saggy. Other than that it was clean...with a very nice bathroom! Overall very enjoyable and would stay there again!

Location!

Great location. A two minute walk to gondola one or golden peak. Ski valet is awesome. Staff was great. Expected better room amenities given the price. Room smelled a little musty. Mountain view room on the second floor just means a view of some trees. Apr├Ęs-ski cookies should be soft and chewy. The pillows are horrible, my neck is still cramped.
