“Very nice clean and comfortable”

Hotel Astoria is a small beautifully maintained hotel in Zermatt, CH. One has to take a taxi (CHF 20 one way)from the train terminal to the hotel if you have luggage. Otherwise one can walk. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The reception staff was very pleasant and helpful. They stored our luggage after check out with no hassels and even charged my camera battery.

“Great Zermatt Hotel”

The hotel is very quaint. The staff were helpful and always friendly and they speak English. There is a nice breakfast included in the price of the hotel. The room was very spacious with a nice wrap-around balcony (although our view did not look onto the Matterhorn). It was about a 5-10 minute walk through the main part of Zermatt from the main train station.
