“Beautiful Zermatt--Friendly staff”

I believe Hotel Bellerive is a returning gem! It has recently ungone renovation and we were there while some of the facilities are not quite "on line" yet, but it was still worth the stay! We throughly enjoyed our time here and wish we could have stayed longer! The room was clean, very comfortable, spacious bathroom with a real shower door (!), what a welcome site on our 15 day trip at 8 different hotels! We were so ignorant that we booked this hotel not realizing Zermatt is car-free! The staff helped us by phone with our late arrival and how to enter at night when the sleepy town was all but shut down! The local electric taxis and all worked out fine (an extra expense, but well worth it anyway). The breakfast was wonderful. I think Hotel Bellerive will be a wonderful choice for any traveller to Zermatt and prime once all the renovation is complete. We could tell it was so close, and wished we could have seen it with the all the trimmings! We checked in the day after they reopened and I'm sure it's fully on track as I write this review a week later! I can't say enough about the service and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff--from the reception to the food servers and housekeeping! Hotel Bellerive is a great and cost effective choice!

“Excellent Hotel”

Overall we were extremely happy with the Bellerive. We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station, however they will pick you up if needed. It is located close to everything, very clean, comfortable beds, and friendly (multi-lingual) staff. We will stay there again.

“Luxury on a budget.”

Rated on their door as a 3*, I would say this is more 4* accommodation. Perhaps it's because there are so many accommodation choices in Zermatt, but for whatever reason, this was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our 8 days in Switzerland. Large room and bathroom, robes and slippers, free in-room movies, as well as free internet access in the lobby - all the little extras that put this hotel well above the others. Good breakfast and a convenient location complete the picture. Would love to return.

Recommend to take rooms on the side of Matterhorn as those rooms come with balcony.

The hotel is located towards the top end of the village , within walking distance or you can call the hotel to pick you up at the station. We had a triple room but the third bed was a chair that folded out to make a bed , alright for a small child , but not to comfortable for a teenager or older ,the breakfast buffet was good , but it should be at the price you are paying
