Perfect Zermatt hotel
Fantastic hotel with lovely staff who were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Room was ideal, well decorated and throughly cleaned each day. Breakfast lovely with loads of options to set you up for the day

Great hotel. Clean room, super close to the train station. Many restaurants options around (they don't have one). The staff was really helpful and we got some chocolates when checking out. Would defnitively be back in our next trip to Zermatt.

We were in Switzerland for my son’s 16th birthday. The hotel made the stay extremely special. The room was amazing. The views were incredible. Waking up to see the Matterhorn from the balcony was magical. The staff and the owner were wonderful and accommodating. We were sad to leave. It felt like home away from home.

Very unique, 350 year old house yet modern with an amazing 360 degree balcony view of mountains to include Mount Blanc (honeymoon suite room #6). Beware that Google maps will guide you through medieval passageways that were not designed for modern cars.

The staff went out of their way to see to every need, breakfasts were awesome, and they even arranged sandwiches and a taxi for when we departed early in the morning

We LOVED this quaint hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself had tons of character. The breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruits, scrambled eggs made upon request, hot pastries (we ate early), and coffee drinks on the house. We only stayed one night as we traveled around Europe, but will definitely be back for a longer stay. Zermatt was amazing.

Amazing and awesome services from the hotel staff. Beautiful family suite at upper level with very new appliances and quality toiletries. Staff at reception were exceptionally helpful in guiding us to places of interests, ticketing and restaurants reservation.

Our stay was fantastic! The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. Chocolate was given to us when we got there and when we left. The breakfast was delicious. The property is gorgeous and is in the heart of everything!

Amazing service, the best I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Cosy rooms and nice spa. Just a short walk to the cableway. I rarely give 5 stars. But this hotel is just the best. I definitely recommend it!

Great location in less touristy area. Staff was helpful and so kind. Room was clean, modern, large and had plenty of storage. We bought wine and would sit on our balcony looking at the Matterhorn during the afternoon. Staff was happy to provide us with glasses and nuts to snack on. Breakfast was delicious and included hot items like bacon and eggs. Welcome treats and check out care package were so thoughtful. Will stay again if we return to Zermatt.

Total gem in Zermatt
Everything about this hotel was superb. The hotel picked us up from the train station in their electric van, so even the arrival to the hotel was perfect. We checked in with the most welcoming woman, Silke I believe, who showed us our rooms, gave us dinner recommendations, hiking recommendations and happily answered all our questions. Upon getting into our room we immediately it was so welcoming, plush bedding and towels, extremely clean, but really best of all, was the patron with a prime view of the church and the Matterhorn. I didn’t need to leave the porch! Shower was new and worked well. The room was beyond anything we’d experienced yet in Switzerland. Breakfast the next morning was up to par with the rest of the experience. There was a great spread of breads, jams, fruit, and they also offered hot items like eggs and cappuccinos. Even had a candy stash for hike fueling! Location of the hotel was perfect, an easy walk to everything. We had to check out before leaving Zermatt, so they watched our luggage, and offered use of their spa after hiking if we wished. If I return to Zermatt, without hesitation I’d return to this hotel.

We stayed at Chesa Valese during Zermatt’s “in-between” season, when there is not enough snow for winter activities but too much snow for summer activities. The hotel was wonderful though. The room was in great condition, with a tasteful balance between rustic climbing pictures on the wall and modern amenities and bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving useful tips for where to eat, what to do, and which lifts, trains, and trails were open. The balcony of our room had an amazing view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast in the hotel was wonderful, with a good selection in a cozy, spacious restaurant. We are definitely planning to come back for more hiking and to stay here again.

From the moment I arrived on the train and was met and taken to the hotel till the moment they dropped me back to the station all the staff could not have been more friendly and willing to help me. The hotel is immaculately looked after and offers little extras like hot water bottles. My room looked out to the Matterhorn and I loved just sitting and looking at it when I my room or on the balcony. The location was excellent- a few minutes walk to the Main Street but far enough to be quiet. Breakfast was very good and they made eggs fresh on order. They pride themselves on making guests feel very much at home. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

What a wonderful hotel, with such lovely staff!
We arrived later than expered, but Felicia was so kind and accommodating, sending a taxi to meet us at the train station and showing us around our room. We had a lovely large suite with loft, perfect for our family. Decor is updated and modern, and the location is perfect. We highly recommend this gem!

Cozy friendly hotel - great location.
Very Friendly Hotel we have stayed before several years ago but now all the rooms have been upgraded and renovated so they are even more comfortable to go with the friendly service. Breakfast is well laid out and they will cook eggs etc on request no restaurant but snacks and drinks are available in the evenings. Call them from the station and they pick you up. Location is ideal in a relatively quiet street a walk to the main street Station and Sunnega there is a bus stop for the Trockener Steg Gondola just round the corner.

Had a room on the top floor facing the Matterhorn. Room was spacious and comfortable and the small balcony was a bonus. Rooms and bathrooms were updated and modern. Breakfast was good.
