“Great hotel for couples”

Our stay was excellent beginning with pickup in Zermatt and ending with dropoff in Zermatt. The only reason I didn't give it the highest rating for condition and upkeep is that the carpet in the corrider needed to be cleaned. Everthing about the hotel including the food, room and staff is excellent. Keep up the good work !

“Awesome stay”

We couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel. While it is not in the center of town, it's a lovely walk and very near the bus line. We had an amazing view of the Matterhorn from our room and the spa which is available for all to use was wonderful. I didn't ask but I think the hotel is very new and so everything is in pristine condition. Highly recommend!

“If you like people watching you sit on the toilet”

I wish I could recommend this hotel. The staff went out of their way to accomodate, the location was nice, the town is cute. Unfortunately, the stay was incredibly uncomfortable for one simple reason: One wall of the bathroom is glass. That's right, glass. This kind of avant-garde design is only sexy in theory. Once you realize that anyone sharing the room with you can see (and hear, with amazing clarity) you shower or sit on the toilet, all comfort and romance disappears. We resorted to using the lobby bathroom during our brief stay. Also, the tv is positioned so you can only view it if you sit on the tiny, hard little couch or lift it up and turn it towards you when you sit in bed. Bottom line: the hotel tries too hard to be sexy. The design is sleek and modern, which means it's only nice to look at. It's full of hard, shiny, sharp, stiff things. When you've been out in the Alpine wilderness, and you come home cold and wet to your hotel room, you don't want a hard little couch and a see-through bathroom wall.
