Cons: the location
The hotel is really good, a bit far from the downtown but bus station is near, room condition was good and good value for money

Matched expectations

For budget travellers to Valencia this hotel represents a good option. In fact I thought the condition and quality of the hotel exceeded what I paid for.The breakfast costs £7 but there is a good range to choose from. The receptionosts are professional. The surrounding area is a bit bland but at least seems safe. The hotel is within easy reach of the ciudad des sciences and artes but is a bit removed from the centre of the city. There is however a bus and a taxi to the centre costs only £5 or so.

On the fence!
Posted Jan 20, 2011
Clean and tidy hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was 'continental' but an extensive selection with self service to help yourself to as much as you want. Very dissappointed that the bar and restaraunt was not open at the weekend. No coffee making facilities was dissappointing, as was the size of the room. I would definately not say no to this hotel but I would look for an alternative where I can get food and drink.

More than 3 star hotel but far from everything
Posted Jan 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel is more than 3 stars. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I think this hotel should take more than 3 stars. The main problem was that the hotel is every far from everything. The city of science and arts is about 2 km. The down town is 4 km. The port and beach is 4-5 km. You can not walk and you should use the transportation. Even the touristic bus you could not take it except if you walked to the city of science and arts. The main other disadvantages: the breakfast was expensive (10 euros but you can get it by 8 euros if you booked a day before!). There are no shops beside the hotel. Nearest helpful one is carrefour 2.5 km away. There was a wired internet in the room but it was not free, but the wireless internet in the lobby is free.

taxi ride away from tourist areas

clean rooms at fair price but no local metro. staff helpful. The road outside is busy at night. The hotel is a 8.00 euro taxi ride to beach or old town.

The Abashiri is a very convenient Hotel being only 10 minutes from the old city centre by bus from the stop around the corner. the room was comfotable and clean and the staff very helpful with any queries.parking not a problem as free street parking safe or hotel car park if preferred for a fee. The range of food at breakfast is good and fresh. Overall would certainly recommend.
