Great Hotel but you need a car

Hotel was fine but not in Sagunto, It was in Canet. You need a car to get around. Taxi was expensive to get back and forth to the train

A nice stylish hotel

The Hotel Els Arenals looks fabulous, the design is stylish and the room I was in was generously proportioned, very stylish and very well equipped and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and it was a very quiet relaxed atmosphere. This is not a party hotel, it's located just out of town and there did not seem to be any night life in the surrounding area. However, if you had a car it would be a perfect base from which to go and explore. The beach was totally uncomercialised (So don't expect loungers and sun shades) and the pool was lovely. When I was there I was the only English guest, the rest were Spanish. The only down side was the quality of the food. All meals were from a buffet and the cuiscine really was not great. The same dishes appeared two days in a row, and there often wasn't much choice. Unfortunately the narrow road with no footpath wasn't really condusive to walking in the dark to go for dinner elsewhere.
