beautiful hotel in a unique building

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: staff, restaurant
Cons: building - rooms and bathrooms need a bit of updating
Location: chichen itza and ek balam mayan ruins, various cenotes, valladolid town square, easy access to ado bus station (service to cancun, merida, etc).
a friend and i stayed here for two nights. the staff was FANTASTIC.. friendly and responsive to all our needs. the hotel is located in an old building that could use a bit of work, but it is beautiful. the restaurant with the tree and flower filled open atrium was frequented not only by people staying in the hotel but locals as well. we ate out several nights but preferred the hotel's restaurant. very easy to walk to most places in valladolid as it is located off the main town square. all in all, highly recommend.

Pros: central location right across from the main plaza. The pool was nice too
Although the room was on the small size, it was still quite adequate. The restaurant was superb

Awesome location!

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The Junior Suite, the view. The staff was awesome and very attentive. They really tried to make sure we were happy.
Location: Cenotes, Zocalo and Chichen Itza
First of all, if you can swing it, splurge for the junior suite. We were first booked in a Superior Room, and it was okay. Because our neighbors were super loud, we asked for a room change. They showed me the junior suite for 300 pesos more, and it made our trip! we had the entire terrace to ourselves overlooking the zocalo and the cathedral. The view was stunning! We sat up most nights in the lounge chairs almost all night talking and looking at the cathedral. There is a lot of shopping to do around the zocalo right outside of this hotel. The staff was sooo attentive. It was great!

Nice hotel right on the square

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location. Cleanliness. Quiet.
Stayed in a junior suite. Lovely large room, 2 airconditioners and fans kept the room cool. Small balcony overlooking pool and a shared outdoor seating area - both we avoided because of the heat and the humidity. Each evening we swam in the lovely pool to cool down from our very busy, hot days visiting the archeological sights. Easy trips to Ek Balam (not as well known but not to be missed) and Chichen Itza. Ended our visit with the 10am tour of the Mexican folk art at the House of the Deer 2 blocks from the hotel. Also an amazing experience. The hotel is right on the square and we were able to still the square after dinner on Sunday night when the town comes out to dance in the street! Great fun. Hotel is old but spotlessly clean. Only complaint...and that is minor...is that there are unexpected steps here and there in the hallway and entering the bathroom. Old folks have to keep a eye out for them.

Great Location walking distance to all

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Location, Style, Free Parking, Pool
Cons: Sleeping Quality need to be improved, The check out procedure is a bit strange and should be explained better .
Location: Located right on the main square, close the the Cathedral, the Artisans and restaurants.
Decent Hotel in the Downtown location of Valladolid. The room was a bit disappointing, very hard bed to sleep in and the Windows are very thin which allows noise to travel. Nice Pool onsite property. The lobby is actually one street before the Town Square as stated in the Expedia Address. For a Junior Suite the room felt more like a regular Hotel Room. Onsite Parking is a Plus. The included Breakfast is limited but sufficient.

This hotel locates in a beautiful Spanish colonial town center. There are many restaurants close to this hotel. The beautiful church is just across the street. Very helpful and friendly staff. Definitely will stay here again.
