RoomPosted May 27, 2015
Pros: Staff and daily breakfast was satisfactory
Cons: no comment
Location: There's not a lot to do or see around this location. I am 72 and had problem getting around. I took a cab everywhere
Room was too small for 2 adults, a negative, was no restaurant or cocktail lounge, there were no restaurants within walking distance

Hospitality plusPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: More than adequate, well lit parking. Two elevators. Large room. Décor.
Cons: The web page was misleading transitioning from bedrooms to a harbour view. There is no waterfront at the Abercorn!
Location: Costco is across the street - it is faster to walk than to find parking there. Many nearby restaurants and shops.
Every member of the staff was cooperative, friendly, and efficient.

Pros: The Scottish influence on the decor.
Cons: Bring back the bar.
Location: Central for our needs.
we have stayed here before and were pleased with the standard of hospitality. We were in Vancouver for a British car show and the staff were helpfull in all aspects of my needs.

Close to Vancouver AirportPosted May 21, 2015
Pros: Location, near the Airport and the complimentary breakfast, but not the plastic cups, plates and cutlery, CHEAP!!
Cons: A facelift to bring it up to date would be a good start and a good restaurant because there are none close by
Location: The location is isolated from bars, restaurants and shopping facilities. Definitely not a tourist area.
We stayed 2 nights at the Abercorn Inn. The disappointing fact was it was situated directly beneath the flight path of YVR airport and alongside a major, noisy thoroughfare. The staff said the hotel was under renovation and that was the reason why there was no restaurant or bar facility in the complex. We saw no signs of renovation anywhere in the complex The room was OK but very tired like something out of the 70's. No movies offered like most other hotels

The hot breakfast was good, but heavily used and sometimes needed restocking.

Ok, if don't have a car too badPosted May 7, 2015
Pros: Staff. We arrived at airport at 730 in the morning. Staff accommodated us by getting us checked in by noon, we so appreciated that we were exhausted.
Cons: More selection in breakfast.
Good value. Breakfast included. Stayed 5 nights no change in menu. No restaurant. Remote never worked, tried 3 new remotes, have to manually input channels. Quite hotel, right across Costco. Need a car. No bathtub.
