“Good choice in Vancouver”

We were very pleased with this Best Western Downtown. Namely: easy to find via car, reasonable underground parking, courtesy van to anywhere downtown, courtesy computer, good location. Staff was very helpful. Rooms very comfortable. Restaurants within easy walking. We would stay here again without question.

Room and service was excellent. Was easy to get advice on nearby attractions and restaurants. Enjoyed the roof top terrace and skyline. Easy access to waterfront walk, Granville Island, and bus service for downtown.

“Great extras”

I thought for the price this hotel was extremely good. I loved having the kitchenette in the room and the complimentary coffee and water every day. The ipod docking station was also a great idea. I thought the little gym and jacuzzi and rooftop terrace were great little extras. The adjoining restaurant was fair and the staff were helpful and friendly. Its a good location for walking to downtown or getting the bus to other parts of the city and the complimentary shuttle to downtown is also a nice touch. I stayed in four different hotels this trip and this was by far my favourite.

“Great Place”

A very nicely located hotel with both the city shopping centre and the False Creek area within walking distance. The hotel staff were always very helpful and the adjoining restaurant serves excellent food. The complementary hotel van was also a nice touch.

“Will Stay Again”

My sister and I chose a two day get away and stayed at the Best Western Downtown and found it to be the perfect location for us. We shopped, ate out at an amazing restaurant only three blocks away. Everything is within walking distance and we both completely enjoyed our visit. We had a wonderful room on the tenth floor facing the Granville Street Bridge. We each had a comfortable bed, plenty of towels and were treated so well by the staff. The complimentary bottled water was a nice bonus. We both felt the hotel has a genuine cozy feel to it.

Front desk employees were very friendly, helpful, and kind. Seemed very interested in all the runners checking in for the next day Vancouver Marathon. Same experience early next morning prior to the race. Noted that hotel employees were quick to call cabs, point directions, show personal interset in guests. Top notch clean facility. This hotel should be the host hotel for the Vancouver Marathon!

“Great location, affordable price, and super clean.”

We arrived at this hotel a bit apprehensive after reading reviews about the somewhat 'sleaziness' of the neighborhood. However, coming from NY with more vivid examples of sleaze, the immediate area of the hotel was in very decent shape. We stayed there with our two kids and never felt threatened to walk around the area. It was close to eateries, shopping, and sightseeing spots. The hotel also had a cozy gym with a fantastic view. I would definitely go back to this hotel if ever in Vancouver again.

“Fantastic Hotel”

This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in a long time. Great hotel, helpful staff and the room was really comfortable, if a little small. The rooftop hot tub and sauna was a big plus after a cold day exploring Vancouver. The free shuttle downtown made it easy to get around. Wireless internet is free. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but it's full of action with clubs and restaurants. At night the streets were filled with all sorts of people but we never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. If they gave this hotel a classier sounding name they could easily charge double what we paid. If you need to stay in downtown Vancouver stay here!
