Will stay here when we need a Langley hotel!
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: The beds were new and comfy - courteous staff
Cons: Proximity to the train tracks :(
Location: Nice and close to town - but far enough away from traffic noise. You can go for a walk around farms :)
We have stayed twice now and value for the money is very good. Staff is very courteous and the room is clean and the beds are very comfy. We never heard another guest - felt like we were the only ones there! Close to everything we need. Only downside is the noise from the passing trains - take earplugs and you will be fine. Highly recommend this hotel - good value :)

Great for the price

Pros: Management
Stayed at this hotel twice now. Last time it was a Super 8. The new management is doing a great job fixing the place up and are very welcoming. No problem with a late check out.

Trains
Posted Jan 7, 2013
By the train. When it passes by your going to hear its air horn as well the room vibrates. The train passes by at ALL hours of the day including 3 am so if your a light sleeper, avoid this hotel. Also I wanted a quiet room but was put beside a family with screaming kids. The walls need better soundproofing, but they all went to bed at around 10 pm so no real big complaints there.

A bit disappointing, but it was inexpensive.
Posted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: The cost was very good (inexpensive).
Cons: Long walk to and from our vehicle.
Only door was in the front, so we had a long walk to get in andout. Parking spots near the front were all taken. We could smell stale smoke inour "non-smoking" room.

A jewel of a find
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: The service, the price of the room and the free breakfast that is included
Cons: train whistle
Location: Close to Highway 1, 5 minutes to downtown Langley, quiet setting...
I needed a value priced hotel room for 5 days while a renovation was going on in my apartment..I checked Expedia.ca first and Canada's Best Value Inn in Langley BC came up...I din't want to spend anything more than I had to, so I wasn't expecting anything more than plain Jane ..What a wonderful surprise..Value, value,value.. A nice room with everything I could want. Free parking, a small fridge and microwave in suite, coffee maker and condiments, cable tv, iron and board, extra pillows and blanket, towels galore and soaps and conditioners for the shower..even the toilet paper had a nice little fold to it.. The desk Manager, Avnil, was attentive to any request I had.The free breakfast included is a $10.00 breakfast anywhere so that brings the overall cost of the room to be very reasonable..I was pleased and would recommend this hotel to anyone...People's reviews before me for this hotel have mentioned the beds are firm...yes, they are but I prefer a firm bed myself...Of course there is the one minus that really cannot be faulted the hotel and that is the trains that go by...the train itself, one would never notice unless you were a very light sleeper..but the whistle blowing, well, one night out of five I noticed it...Overall, I didn't think it was a deal breaker..I would highly recommend this hotel to all but the lightest of sleepers. Sincerely John

Well run property. Train noise at night does have drawbacks. But hey bring ear plugs and a fuzzy bunny. to hug?

Clean, affordable and friendly
Posted Jan 24, 2013
Pros: We wanted a cheap, clean and friendly hotel for our one night stay. This was perfect.
Cons: The hotel is in the middle of reno's and clearly needs a face lift. The train noise at night can be a problem.
Location: It's close to downtown Langley...shopping, restaurants, etc. Easy commute to the ferry terminal.
Our family is used to something closer to a 4 or 5 star hotel so at just $60 per night (including breakfast) we weren't expecting much. We were arriving late and leaving early on our way to Vancouver Island. So this was just meant to be a place to catch some sleep. I have to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. The new (very new) owners were very eager to please, friendly and eager. They were very quietly painting baseboards at 10:00pm when we arrived. They made absolutely no noise and clearly were wanting to be respectful of their guests. The hotel is under renovation but this never affected us at all. Our rooms were clearly in need of a face lift but were comfortable and very clean. If you like a soft mattress you might have a tough time of it as the beds are pretty firm. There are also train tracks across the street so your sleep may be interrupted by the odd train. Our rooms had lovely showers but no baths (something to note for families with small children). The breakfast room is quite small but the breakfast was more than acceptable with plenty of selection including bacon and eggs. For families or travelers on tight budgets looking for a comfortable and affordable stay....this is a great choice particularly for short stays.
