Spacious rooms, great service!

Great service for a great price. Central location, room design slightly dated (furniture etc.), but the size of the room definitely makes up for it! Lots of perks (get vouchers for the hotel's restaurant and coffee), great staff!

Dont stay on the 6th floor

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: $20 meal voucher for dinner $5 voucher if no maid service Comedy Club located on premises
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: St. Pauls Hospital is right next door and Davie St. is at the corner. Lots of shops and restaurants to discover
The room I stayed in was generally nice. However, the air conditioning did not work and opening any windows or the sliding glass door would not have improved the situation as Vancouver was in the middle of a heat wave. My room was also under a conference room so at all hours there were chairs shuffling above me. My room was also located adjacent to the floors dishwasher for room service trays. When the doors for this opened there was loud creaking and as it ran the pipes began to shake, this went on late into the night. As for cleanliness it was substandard as there was hair on the toilet seat, stains on the couch pillows, and food left in the mini fridge.

Central location for visiting Vancouver

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Nice hotel in a central location. We stayed a week at the Century Hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen did not have all the stuff we would want to actually cook meals, so we had to ask for a few items, which the hotel staff was very happy to accommodate. The sleeper sofa was not that comfortable, but there were 2 double beds in the bedroom so there was enough space for 4 people to sleep (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Good value for a long stay!

Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The staff was Great. Rooms were clean.
Cons: Wouldn't change a thing.
Location: A stone gum head is in Robson Square. The water front has seaplane tours. There is a nice path for daily workouts and jogging.
We only stayed one night, but it is a very nice hotel. We would have stayed longer if our plans allowed it. The hotel is right inside the City Center. Everything is in walking distance, no need to drive. The rooms were very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff just was just super! The hotel had wifi, so if you are from the U.S. your phone will roam without the wifi connection. Be sure to access it. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Vancouver B.C. again!

Don’t spoil you visit by staying in Century Plaza

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: • Close to downtown Vancouver. • Free WIFI. • Close public transportation. Apartment style room. • Kitchenette is with full size refrigerator (Who need this in hotel? In an area with plenty of good and not so expensive cafés and restaurants). • Nice looking Lobby. • Laundromat Cons: • Room without any design plane white walls, no picture; look like bad dorm • Furniture need update long time ago; bathroom probably redone look simple, but new except toilet tank it so huge like from 50s, no ecofriendly. • Carpet in rooms old and dirty. My advice do not let the carpets touch bare feet • Only living room has air conditioner, it was hot evening, we open window in bedroom: consistent loud mechanical nose from roof we can’t sleep. Plus if any of your neighbors goes to bathroom all pluming is very musical. • Business center is in a laundry room, may be who doing laundry can browse in internet, but if you need to print something or do some work it is very hot and smell like Laundromat. • All 3 days we stay no body clean carpet in our floor in hall nearby elevator; it was the same piece of paper and napkins etc. • No safety box In room • Gentlemen who take care of luggage in morning weight our luggage in scale without any noticing of broken handle in any of our suitcase, in evening when we pick up our luggage from storage room and found that one suitcase has broken handle blame us that we brought luggage like this.

Perfect location

We loved our location in downtown Vancouver, it was within easy walking distance to anything we needed, including both Skytrain lines. We had superb views as well, and having the kitchen in our suite really was a big benefit. The cafe, restaurant and spa in-house were all exceptional as well. The front desk staff and bell hop staff were also extremely courteous and made us feel very welcome. With a fairly large range of affordable rooms to choose from you could stay here very affordably if you choose one of the less fancy rooms, however we stayed in an executive suite which really made our stay special. The cleaning staff was very good, but you do have the option of skipping the service for the day and getting a $5.00 voucher to use in restaurant or cafe which I think is a great idea. The only drawback was that our air conditioning unit was not functioning and it took 2 days and 3 visits from maintenance that were never followed up on afterwards and repeated phone calls until I finally requested that we be relocated to a new room. When I made that request we were moved into an even nicer room within 20 minutes. I had the time to follow up with them but most people on vacation or business are very busy and rely on their hotel to just take care of it upon the first request.
