Outside Road Noise

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: Local to the city centre.
Could not fault the hotel. The location was next to a hospital and was on the main feeder route for the fire brigade so having the windows open meant the sirens were frequent.

Budget minded hotel, close to everything

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: The staff are friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat.
Cons: If there are two double beds in the room 2 spare pillows would be nice, rather than the one we found.
Location: Close to lots of shopping and many restaurants, an easy walk through the Westend to Stanley Park
Century Plaza has a great downtown location where we could walk to many of the attractions and shopping areas we wanted to visit. The room we were in had a good sized fridge and a microwave so we saved a little by breakfasting in on yoghurt and a fresh fruits.

Nice but noisy hotel.

Pros: The Conciere was SUPER!!! He got us booked onto a seaplane tour. He did it on his own time and used his personal credit card to make the booking.
Cons: The facets in the bathroom
Location: Terrific downtown locations.
Very nice hotel but noisy throughout the evening and morning with ambulance sirens going to the emergency hospital next door. The facets in the bathroom are difficult to use, both the shower and the sink.

Was totally surprised that our room had a living area plus a kitchen. Great deal for the money.

Always A Great Experience

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, nice rooms.
Cons: New in-room safes are a lot smaller than before.. too bad - not big enough for a laptop.
This is my hotel of choice whenever I'm in Vancouver. I stay here for both business & pleasure trips because of the great service, high quality of accommodation/restaurant and the central location. Almost all rooms have a kitchenette and there is a Marketplace IGA just steps away - how great is that? You can choose to treat yourself by dining out in the restaurant on site or relax with a home-cooked meal in your suite. The only thing that I have found a bit disappointing is that the hotel "upgraded" their in-room safes recently and unfortunately, they are smaller than the previous models. Whereas I could always lock up all of my electronics (including my lap top) securely on previous visits, this last time I discovered that the new models were not large enough to store my laptop. Other than that, I'm always happy staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping; public transport nearby; near a hospital and could be noisy at times.

Avoid if you're Expedia+ Gold

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: The quality and the soaps, shampoo and moisturizer.
Location: Close to downtown and to Davie Street.
If you're Expedia+ Gold and you're hoping for an updgrade and other perks at check-in, try somewhere else. I've stayed here before and always received a room with a balcony. Maybe because I booked on Expedia, I got a room with no balcony and much smaller than normal.
