My stay

Posted Jul 14, 2014
The hotel was located in a quiet place with easy access to major roads, and close to the mall and other places. My room was clean and spacious enough for me plus my bed was very comfy!

Good location, decent pricing.

Pros: The beds were very comfortable!
Cons: Some place in the rooms to hang your bathing suits and some sort of plastic bag to take home wet suits in!
The staff was great, the room was pleasing. The only disappointing factor was the hot tub - it had at least a quarter of the tiles missing and the water was not even chest deep when sitting in the hot tub seats. Considering a big part of the draw of this hotel was the hot tub, this was sad for us. Also we noticed that the pool towels that were to be out for use weren't accessible, and that many people left their wet towels out and they were not cleaned away by staff. It felt a bit dirty to come into a space filled with sopping wet towels every where.

Better than expected

Pros: My room was quite spacious with pleasing interior design. There was a roomy outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub which I enjoyed. Italian branded coffee that was supplied was delicious. Reception staff was very polite and helpful. Cons: Sounds of the guestroom doors being slammed in the evenings had bothered me a lot. If the light in the hallways wasn't that bright people would not slam the doors this vigorously. There was no breakfast. The restaurant nearby did not have any choice of vegetarian food. There are no take-out restaurants nearby the hotel so I had to drive looking for food.

Nice hotel - comfortable room

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Easy to fiind and just one bus ride from surrey train station.
Cons: The coast hotel may consider including breakfast and putting coin laundry.
Location: Location is good - near the train station.
I only stayed for 1 night, the room was comfortable.

Totally adequate for a stay

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Overall quality
Cons: Restaurant
Location: Nothing is near it except the highway so it may be good for people in transit or a conference.
I was pleased that it was new and fairly spacious with microwave, etc... Overall appearances exceeded my expectations. It isn't near anything except for the highway so you have to drive to anything you want. The day we showed up it was very hot and our room was sweltering at night. I suppose it was my fault that I didn't get up at 2 am and try to figure out the a/c (I hate those wall units) but I didn't want to wake up my son who was sleeping so we just slept on top of our sheets. We showed up around 8pm and since it isn't near anything we went to the attached restaurant. Despite the nice sign the restaurant/bar had zero atmosphere and felt like an after thought. There were only three tables and our food, which was unremarkable, took a long time. The restaurant needs to improve. WE went elsewhere for breakfast and would encourage you to eat elsewhere.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: restaurant not very good food for dinner.
Location: Very handy to the freeway.
pet charge is to high. we were charged 20.00 per pet, per night. my dogs together weigh less than nine pounds. Rooms are very thin walls, can hear all the noise from hallways and adjoining rooms.

Close to where we wanted to be at that visit

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: They allow dogs
Cons: Staff communication with their guests
Location: Close to malls and freeway
They neglected to tell us the hotel was undergoing renovations until a few days into our stay!!! They tried to move us to a dog room where the beds were really sacked out and very hard, and tried to say there were no other dog rooms available. They said the move was because of the renovations that a pipe could burst above us!! And then suddenly they did have a dog room available after I complained that I was not staying in the room they wanted to move us to. The chambermaids seemed to avoid our room because they claimed our dog growled at them, our dog is extremely friendly and I've never heard him growl and he wasn't left alone during the time the maids clean up the rooms, we were out with him every day several hours a day giving them plenty of time to clean our room. The room keys started not working kept having to get them to rekey and then the underground parking became inaccessible because of renos and they failed to communicate that to us

Clean rooms, comfortable beds and bedding.

Cheryl at the front reception desk was very welcoming and informative on the area. She offered great advice on our house hunting in the area. Rooms were also good, loved the bedding.
