Cheap alternative to downtown Vancouver

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Cons: Very loud during the daytime in room #125. Could hear housekeeping coming and going, banging equipment around and shouting at each other.
We stayed 2 nights at the Comfort Inn Capilano. For the price we paid our expectations were quite low before arrival. We were pleasantly surprised! Clean room, very comfortable bed, wireless high-speed internet, free breakfast and free parking. Conveniently located just across from the Lionsgate bridge made our trip into downtown Vancouver quick and easy - $15 cab ride home. Great value for money, would not hesitate to stay again.

Overnight in North Vancouver

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: Proximity to what I needed.
Cons: Nothing needed improvement from what I saw.
Location: The hotel is very close to the Lions Gate Bridge, and to the Upper Highway, so you can easily get to downtown Vancouver or anywhere else in BC wanted,
This hotel is well situated for a brief stay in or around Vancouver, Nothing fancy but situated very close to Tourist attractions and major roads. Good value for monies spent.

Comfort Inn North Vancouver

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Price for the room's comfort
Location: Being in North Vancouver it is not near any of the city events, but the lower price made the commute back and forth to downtown worth the effort.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and for the price and location the hotel was just fine.

Pros: See above
Cons: Cable TV could have more channels
This is the third time we have stayed here. The staff are friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is "mature", the rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and odour free

Upgraded to a king suite at no cost due to a booking error. Very comfortable room. Close to transit connection which works for my plans.

Nice quilt and 2 pillow selections.

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: The bedding, and the 2 choices of pillow softness.
Cons: Ice bucket was not clean, sticky cutlery drawer, curtains needed hemming, freezer needed defrosting, bathroom sink emptied very very slowly.
Location: Earls restaurant a block away, Park Royal Shopping Centre a short drive or 20 minute walk.
Stayed one night with my husband, then he went into hospital for another 3 days, and I did not feel safe, so asked desk clerk if I could be moved closer to the office, where I could see the reception area. Clerk was very understanding, and I moved closer.
