Convenient hotel close to the city centre

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: It was clean, unpretentious and met all our requirements.
Cons: The plastic door key did not work too well in the elevator
Location: Very central and convenient to downtown requirements.
This hotel was very useful for our needs on a very wet day since it was close to all our requirements.

Comfortable hotel close to restaurants & shopping

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Comfortable hotel close to restaurants & shopping. Reasonable rates. Free Wi-Fi.
Cons: Elevator was tiny and slow, sometimes faster to walk up 5 stories than wait for elevator. Small lobby area.
Location: Just off Granville St. in the entertainment district, several theaters and lots of restaurants in the area. Not too far from cruise ship terminal.
Spent most of our 2 days in Vancouver touring on the hop-on, hop-off bus, but it doesn't have scheduled stop at Comfort Inn. Buffet breakfast at $8.50 extra was disappointing, better breakfast at Tim Horton's across the street. King-size bed was quite comfortable, but air conditioning was drafty.

Enjoyed the quietness of the hotel. Room was hot ..no air conditioning, but had fan. Breakfast was ok...no fresh fruit only canned which was disappointing .

Clean hotel in central downtown location

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: It was clean, quiet, and located in a great area. Complimentary coffee in the lobby.
Cons: The elevator is small and gets busy at check out time. If you are unable\unwilling to take the stairs, you may have to wait a few mins.
Location: The hotel is located downtown, and very close to public transit, so it makes a great base from which to explore all that Vancouver has to offer.
Stayed here for 5 nights and would definitely stay again. Was concerned that the hotel would be noisy, especially since it is one block from Vancouver's main entertainment district, but once inside our room we heard almost no street noise. Our room was pretty basic, but appeared to have been renovated recently. Very clean, and very helpful and efficient staff. Overall, we had a very good stay.

Clean, relatively inexpensive and great proximity to Orpheum Theatre if you're in town for a show there.

The hotel is in a pretty rough neighborhood.

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Not enough hours in the day to explain.
Location: Walk fast, keep your head down and hold on to your purse.
First impression - lousy. Front door opens to 8 steps. No ramp even. No bell boys. We were tired and had to lift and carry our bags up those steps. Unbelievable. Then the restaurant that serves breakfast was closed for renovation and they didn't tell us ahead of time. Rest of the stay was OK, except for location. Next street over - Granville - was loaded with sex shops and vagrants. Would not recommend this hotel at all.
