Clean hotel in central downtown location

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: It was clean, quiet, and located in a great area. Complimentary coffee in the lobby.
Cons: The elevator is small and gets busy at check out time. If you are unable\unwilling to take the stairs, you may have to wait a few mins.
Location: The hotel is located downtown, and very close to public transit, so it makes a great base from which to explore all that Vancouver has to offer.
Stayed here for 5 nights and would definitely stay again. Was concerned that the hotel would be noisy, especially since it is one block from Vancouver's main entertainment district, but once inside our room we heard almost no street noise. Our room was pretty basic, but appeared to have been renovated recently. Very clean, and very helpful and efficient staff. Overall, we had a very good stay.

Clean, relatively inexpensive and great proximity to Orpheum Theatre if you're in town for a show there.

The hotel is in a pretty rough neighborhood.

Pros: Not much.
Cons: Not enough hours in the day to explain.
Location: Walk fast, keep your head down and hold on to your purse.
First impression - lousy. Front door opens to 8 steps. No ramp even. No bell boys. We were tired and had to lift and carry our bags up those steps. Unbelievable. Then the restaurant that serves breakfast was closed for renovation and they didn't tell us ahead of time. Rest of the stay was OK, except for location. Next street over - Granville - was loaded with sex shops and vagrants. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Pros: Location
2 night stay that worked for our cruise location. The hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. We could easily walk wherever we wanted. The trolley picked us up for a tour of Vancouver.

Good location but will not stay there again

Pros: Location
Location: you cannot miss cafe crepe express on every corner on Granville St. try their breakfast and a nutella crepe.
The Hotel has an excellent location right in the downtown area, minutes away from the pacific mall and 10 minutes walk to major streets like Robson. However, the Hotel is very small, rooms are extremely small provided the rate they charge per night, you expect a different kind of room and luxury.

Pros: Location, price and 2 for 1 buffet breakfast
We stayed overnight after a concert at the Orpheum, just 2 blocks away. Spent the afternoon and had dinner on Granville Island, an easy walk to the Seabus from the hotel
