Good Location Near the Airport

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Carpet need to be clean. If possible check in time should be earlier than 4:00 PM, since check out time is at 11:00 AM.
Location: There are fast food restaurants nearby (Burger King, Starbucks, Subway) and a Japanese restaurant (forgot the name ). Train to downtown is near.
Hotel was conveniently located and shuttle to and from the airport was provided.

Convenient hotel, close to Skytrain and airport

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Location, helpful and friendly staff
Location: Close to airport (free shuttle) and Skytrain station.
Hotel staff very helpful! Warned us of extra charge for buying Skytrain tickets at airport. Told us how to save when purchasing for evening and whole days. Looked up bus routes for us. Super! Everyone friendly and helpful. Lots of international guests. This is not a 5 - star hotel, but the location can't be beat.

Close to airport

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Close to airport
Check in and out a bit confusing. I did not understand that all I had paid for at check in was a deposit. At an airport hotel I did not expect to have to give my credit card again the next morning in order to check out. That was not convenient when trying to board an early morning airport shuttle

Airport hotel with regular, free shuttle

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Consistent quality and price. Clean room, comfy bed and the breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The phone greeting at the airport. There should be a direct reply giving the schedule & type of vehicle to watch for, not a list of useless info.
Location: Location is near River Rock casino, and near a Sky Train station which will take you into downtown.
I've stayed at this hotel several times when I've needed a place near the airport. It's plain, basic, but quite adequate for a night or 2. Breakfast is included with a wide selection of fruit, cereal, juice, Danish and waffles made to order. Even the coffee is decent & I'm a crank about good coffee. The shuttle comes on a regular schedule. For other meals, we have to walk or take a cab, but if you enjoy a casino, that's within walking distance & the hotel staff will give you directions.

Ok for an overnite before flight

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Free shuttle, free breakfast, big room, good TV offerings.
Cons: Bright colors in the hall & rooms and ironing the comforter would be more welcoming. Fixing the cracked floor in the elevator would also help.
Location: A real down side is we were directed to Burger King and Subway across the street or an Italian restaurant a few blocks down. There is nothing else!
This Days Inn is on a long strip of what looked like more updated choices. The check-in staff was just OK. The morning staff was excellent including the woman manning the free breakfast which was fine. The place is a bit run down although our room was enormous with great TV offerings, a good shower, and a very comfortable bed. The comforter cover was wrinkled which made it look used. Be aware that the airport shuttle is free but we were told to look for a shuttle for Days Inn/Travelodge, so we missed two shuttles to Days Inn when they replaced it with an Access Inn shuttle and didn't inform us. Apparently the driver was supposed to announce the three hotels he serviced, but if he did, we didn't hear him over the rush of travelers getting into other limos. The worst part was that we got two phone calls after midnight that were apparently wrong numbers. We called the front desk but they weren't very interested.

Comfortable and quiet hotel; handy for airport

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Beds, room size, free breakfast, free internet
Cons: Water pressure, safer luggage storage
Location: Near skytrain to YVR, some Asian restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Quiet industrial area.
Friendly staff, decent breakfast choices, and a surprisingly spacious room with comfy beds. Only niggles were low water pressure in the shower (although still sufficient) and lack of controlled access to the luggage storage area (you leave your luggage at your own risk). All staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was nice and clean. All in all, a comfortable and quiet stay. Would recommend and will certainly return.

Don't pay by debit card!

Posted Jul 18, 2015
I pre-paid for my stay with my debit card. Upon check-in, I presented the same card for incidentals. They charged $250 to my card as a security deposit. Now, I get to wait at least 5 business days for that money to be refunded back to my card. Every other hotel treats my debit card as a credit card, but not this one. Oh, and they make you hang out for a bit while they go up and check your room on check-out. Also, our room had dark brown stains on the walls where the wallpaper seams were. And there were lights in the room that didn't work. I will never be staying here again.

Overnight between flights.

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast and staff.
Location: Close to airport and casino.
Ideally located for an overnight stop. Shuttle to airport is shared with other hotels. It skipped this one when I had to get to the airport for my onward flight. The front desk staff immediately organized a complimentary taxi which got me to they airport on time. The breakfast was adequate. The room is a generic hotel room, i.e. everything you need for a short stay, comfortable, quiet and clean.
