Great hotel - excellent staff

This is a hotel with elegance and history. The staff went out of their way to be of service! We would have liked a bit of carpeting in our rooms.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly and the location of the hotel was central to where we were going. Nice experience overall. Walking distance to parking and restaurants.

Not good value

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Handy location to waterfront and skytrain.
Cons: Hotel was being refurbished so would wait and see. Lift is the size of a phone box.
Location: Good location. Close to waterfront and Canada Place.
We needed 1 nights accommodation inVancouver and this was one of the few available because of holiday season and women's FA Cup. It was very expensive for what it was. Good location but tiny room with view of concrete wall.

Yikes. Uncomfortable beds. Small rooms. Expensive for what you get.

Small room...

Not bad for the price, but I wouldn't stay here again. The room was tiny.

Great location!

Posted Jul 9, 2015
I stayed here from out of town a quick over night business trip. The room was small, but clean & comfortable. The location was great, close to my meeting that I could go to on foot, which is important to me. Close to places to eat & for shopping. The front desk staff were very helpful!

Very noisy and small rooms, good location for port

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Good location to catch a cruise though nowhere is that far in Vancouver for that, so many other hotels could be booked. Very comfy beds. However we had a tiny room and a shower that you could just stand in, room needed updating and you could hear noise from the rooms adjacent and above. Many rooms are opposite the elevators so again noise throughout the night and early morning. If you're only staying one night and you don't need to sleep then its a good bed to stay in. We stayed longer than one night and so would never stay here again.

Decent price, but small rooms.

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Very close to Canada Place. There is a restaurant downstairs and also a very nice Tim Horton's (donuts) right around the corner.
Location: Canada Place is where you'll catch the shuttle buses to the tourist attractions, so it is nice to be so close.
Probably a decent price compared to the other larger, fancier hotels in the area. However, the "double" room was pretty small. Just one elevator, so be prepared to use the stairs.

Great location

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: Alot
Location: Good location, close to Canada Place, Pubs and restaurants. Not far to the Visitors Center and the Sky Train.
We were a little disappointed in the size of the room. We had to ask to be moved to a room that had a small chest in order to have even one drawer. There was plenty of hot water, the staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The bed was comfortable but the restaurant downstairs was too hot to enjoy a meal. We weren't in the room very much and because of the staff we would probably stay there again if we ever went back. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to most people because not many people are looking for an experience.
