“Sonji & Ra”
Beautiful hotel!! Great location, walking distance to shopping and dining district.
“Seasoned travellers - very impressed!”
We loved this Hotel, this was the end of a long trip (8 months!) covering Europe, England, USA, & Carribean., so by this time we are very critical guests - could not critisize this Hotel! Would definately go back, and recommend to friends.
“real treasure”
excellent in every aspect.
“Great place to stay”
Friendly service. Beautiful, quaint but newly renovated hotel. Ready access to spectacular gym and pool at the new YMCA next door. Great part of town. Near shopping mall and convention center.
“Wonderful Experience!”
Le Soleil Hotel And Suites is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Whatever question I had, staff members would answer with great detail and knowledge. Everyone at the hotel made me feel very welcome, and I felt like a VIP. The room I stayed in was a bit on the small side; however, the room was very well laid out and absolutely cozy. Space was never an issue. The room was beautifully decorated and wonderfully comfortable. Housekeeping was always topnotch. By the time I'd return from breakfast, my room was always cleaned and all supplies replenished. When I return to Vancouver, I will most definitely stay at Le Soleil Hotel again!
“Can't wait to go back - beautiful!”
This was a charming hotel for a reasonable price. I loved the decor, and the small sitting room was a big plus.
“Hidden gem in Vancouver”
I have stayed at numerous hotels in Vancouver and the quality is invariably good. This was my first experience with a "boutique" hotel in that city however and I had no clue what I was getting into as the price seemed low by Vancouver standards (especially for a suite). I have to say it was an extremely pleasant experience and I was impressed with all aspects of the hotel. It is easily missed and I drove past it the first time. Sounds like no big deal but with the one way system downtown, the downpour, and the heavy traffic (get used to the latter two - these are Vancouver trademarks!), getting back took some time. Parking is also a bit of a problem as it is valet parking, parking on the street or in a nearby garage. I tried all three and found that while costly, valet is really the only way to go. The hotel itself is excellent - check in was quick and the front desk staff were polite, friendly and eager to please. The corner suite was also high quality although with the four of us it was a little tight for space. We had drinks in the bar and again found the service to be excellent (staff are very friendly). Definitely somewhere I would stay again.
“Excellent choice in downtown Vancouver”
We read the reviews on Expedia, and I agree with others that they are all true. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. They did all possible to accomidate our requests. We ended up changing our room to a higher floor to get a better view of the city. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is about 2-3 blocks from Canada Place and Waterfront station the main hub for Vancouver's skytrain system and the ferry to N. Vancouver (including the Canada Line which gets you to YVR in less than 30 mins). Granville and Burrard stations are also a short walk away, as is Robson St. shopping. Multiple bus routes have stops close by on Dunsmuir and Hornby. Each suite has a sitting area separated from the bedroom by a sliding door. Each room has a it's own 42' flat screen. The rooms are extremely clean and well appointed. We are quite picky about our mattresses, but the mattresses in both rooms we slept in were excellent, as were the linens. We really enjoyed the Aveda products as another reviewer had mentioned. The rooms were very quiet and we hardly heard any outside noise. Wi-Fi reception and speed was good in both rooms we tried. The hotel provides the Globe and Mail (Canada's nationwide newspaper) as well as the WSJ which was also a pleasant amenity. Overall, I can say Le Soleil made our first (and hopefully not our last) experience in Vancouver even more enjoyable...As another reviewer said, Vancouver and Le Soleil make a great weekend getaway combination.
“A little gem”
A bit hard to find and a bit pricey (as is everything in downtown Vancouver), but the layout of the room was outstanding, the personnel were very pleasant and helpful, and the "look" of the place was very classy. I wish I'd been there for more than a few hours.
“Awesome”
Excellent in every way!
