Pricey, but close to everything

Pros: The bed was super comfy
The room was ultra modern, loved it. We checked in late on a Saturday night and the nightclub in the lobby was packed. I could not hear a thing that the receptionist was saying. And wifi is not included. For the price of the room, that should have been included.

great location

all good, only thing didn't need was the front desk lady at check out telling us about how bad mosquitoes are in Winnipeg, our home. She wouldn't drop it, enough already

Excellent. Reminded me of top Asian Hotels. Good service. Excellent restaurant. Did not like the excessive noise in the evenings at the lobby area. Otherwise very good.

Great centrally located downtown Hotel

Pros: The hotel was very clean and had a great collection of art all over.
Cons: Not much, we enjoyed everything.
Location: There is so much to do, eat and see close by. Check a bike out and ride Stanley Park.
What a fantastic facility. We had a wonderful room and the pool was great. The bar and music every day was a great thing to come back to after seeing the city. Get the Bento box for lunch!

claustrophobic space

The Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver has impressive amenities, but unfortunately the standard room we had on our visit does not warrant a five star hotel designation. The layout was inefficient and small. A corridor to no where greeted us on the entrance to the room. A sharp turn to the right with another wasted walkway space gave us a view of a small cramped space, The ceiling was so low I could touch it with my outstretched hand. A panelled area over a portion of the already low ceiling created a claustrophobic effect. Comparable standard rooms at the Fairmont Waterfront or the Shangra La are superior in value and comfort. This was a disappointment. The only saving grace was the hotel amenities and the staff who are very gracious, polite and attentive to your needs, but unfortunately that cannot compensate one for an unacceptable room.
