The hotel was very accommodating with my late check in to reserve my king bed room. I was also given a great room with a view at s higher floor as I requested. I also called the front desk for a :30 min late check out from 12 to 12:30 and the person I spoke to strictly said the it could not be more that. She was a little rough around the edges. When we left our baggage downstairs I had a heavy bag on my shoulder and 2 guys looking at me while we were asking to leave our bags for a few hours before having to go to airport - they did not offer to take the bag until I dropped it down on the ground while one guy wrote the ticket for the 4 bags and the other guy who just stood there and did nothing until after we walked away and I looked back and then both moved the bags onto a cart and wheeled them away to the elevator.

Pre-cruise launching point to explore VancouverPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Service, location, comfort.
Cons: Add Fahrenheit to the Celsius readings on the thermostats. We had no idea how to set the AC, but not the hotel's fault!
Location: Upscale shopping mall attached, convenient to City Centre SkyTrain stop and bus routes; Walked to the Canada Place port on embarkation morning.
Stayed two nights at the Four Seasons before cruise embarkation. Had never been to Vancouver before, and this was an excellent, centrally located base for getting to see the city. Easy to get to by taking the SkyTrain from YVR to City Centre Station on the Canada Line, then came across the street (you can also go through the very upscale mall to enter the hotel without ever going outdoors.) Our Preferred City View room would have been called a junior suite in many other hotels, very convenient, comfortable, nice quality touches all around. Helpful friendly check-in experience, fantastic concierge desk helped us for sight seeing, dinner, even breakfast or shopping advice. Told us about different areas of the city and couldn't have been more helpful, which we have experienced before at other Fairmont locations in Canada. A couple little things with the room required us to call and we had someone up with a quick solution in minutes. I would definitely recommend. Ate dinner in the Yew restaurant in the hotel for one of our dinners, again, friendly service. Inventive menu, and helpful waiter helped us choose our selections in a way to maximize our "eat local" objective while in British Columbia. We also got a great table at Joe Fortes Chophouse on a busy Saturday night with great weather when everyone was out for dinner because of the concierge connection. A first class experience, would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Would have appreciated a free upgradePosted May 14, 2015
We were offered a suite at a discounted rate but would have to pay extra on top of what we had already paid. We would have appreciated a free upgrade. The receptionist sets the tone for one's visit. Every single other member of staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Despite the treatment by the receptionist who also didn't offer to arrange delivery of our bags to our room we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great location+service, really cold rooms...Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff and great location
Location: Heart of downtown right on top of a mall with the art museum a few hundred meters away.
The room was kept very clean (cleaned multiple times a day). The hotel staff was very friendly and the valet service while expensive, exceeded my expectations with the speed at which they could get my car. The only downside is that staying in the spring means sometimes Vancouver can be kind of chilly but the heat was inoperable even with the dial set to heating. This meant that my SO and I were often a little cold during the day if we were resting in the room. At night the soft bedding provided comfort even when the room was cold.

Not enough light in the rooms.Posted May 11, 2015
This hotel needs to invest in better lighting in the rooms. Two low watt lamps does not give enough light. Stop being so cheap and pay the extra power that's create by a high density bulb and allow your customers to see. The lack of utilities does not compare well to the US$ 400.00 per night tarrif.

やっぱり素敵Posted May 11, 2015
