“Granville Island ~ postcard perfect”

We loved our stay on Granville Island! The hotel was lovely, great location! Friendly, helpful service the minute we walked in. The Dockside restaurant there on property was also delightful. Had several meals there.

very good hotel with good facilities and a lovely veranda to sit at, the only problem is in the evening you have to have a meal in order to sit there,you cant just have a drink and enjoy the sunset or the veiw over the harbour.exelent food and bar with a very pleasant and helpful staff.

“Location, Location, Location”

Among other great things about this little hotel, it's location is fabulous. Granville Island is a quaint little artist's community where artisans are hard at work in their shops as you browse their wares. Plus the Public Market is so close it's hard not to eat every meal there. We could have made a vacation of Granville Island alone!

“Stay nowhere else in Vancouver!”

Though this may not be the most elegant hotel, the overall quality, service, location and quirky charm makes it the only place I can imagine staying in Vancouver. I think the hotel has a new and an old wing. Ask to be placed in the North wing, and definitely ask for a water view. I was initially disappointed on entering our room (in the other wing)... small and kind of upscale-motel feeling. But, nice and fully equipped and quite comfortable. What sets this hotel apart is the location on the artsy, edgy "island" of Granville Island. The Granville Street bridge over False Creek looms large over the island... and I mean way-high up in the sky! It really dominates the feel of the entire island, which is actually quite large itself. And the former industrial and marine buildings converted to galleries, theaters, shops and restaurants make this a destination within a destination. You never need to leave the island! And I haven't even mentioned the Public Market! The best in produce, flowers and ethnic foods... awesome! If I lived here, this would be the only place I shopped for fresh food, sausages, seafood, cheese and sides. Finally, the Dockside Restaurant in the hotel, though not inexpensive, served up three fantastic meals and the waterfront patio served up beautiful panoramas of the city. There's a separate pub and a beer brewery built right into the middle of the hotel as well. This is a stop for many tours and tourists, and I was thrilled to call it my temporary home.

I was very impressed with the hotel. Excellent location, friendly courteous staff, good food, reasonable price. The only slightest inconvenience is the parking place, but that was minor. I spent a very nice memorable four nights there. Highly recommend :)

Granville Island Hotel is right in the middle of the fun and excitement of Granville Island and easy travel distance from downtown Vancouver! We were most impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of hotel staff. Great lounges and outdoor eating places. Would love to go back...

good location for a 2day stay good restuarants nearby food in the hotel very good just siting on the dock looking out over the bay is very relaxing. good choice of hand pulled beers.let the guy park your car its so much easier than struggling yourself.

Quiet and peaceful in the middle of a large city. You are on the water's edge with wonderful shops to browse in. Easy access to downtown via water taxi. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our suite was perfect, clean, wonderful produts in the bath. Quaint - a real gem!Price was excellent value. Restaurant was great with view of the harbour!
