Close to everythingPosted Apr 6, 2015
This was our first time in Vancouver and we had a lovely experience. We arrived at 9:30am and the front desk staff was nice enough to accommodate us even though check in time was at 3pm. The hotel is an apartment building turned into a hotel. It has the commodities from home. It has a full kitchen and if you need anything extra you can ask the front desk. The hotel is 10 minutes from city centre by walking. If you prefer to take the bus to DW, the stop is across the street. On your way back, the stop is only a few steps from the hotel. You need to take bus #5 DW. There are two groceries stores within walking distance, Whole Foods and Safeway. Also, SB, McD's and many other restaurants. The hotel is also about 25 minute walk to Stanley Park. We did not have a car but parking is available. They also have a laundry room if needed. We are definitely coming back to this city as we fell in love with it and will definitely be staying at this property. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Great service and locationPosted Mar 24, 2015
Stayed for a week while attending a nearby event. The deluxe room is pretty spacious with a little kitchenette built in and cutlery/microwave available on request. There's a constant supply of hot water/coffee/tea downstairs and useful advice from the counter. While the place isn't very new that is part of the charm, and everything is spotlessly cleaned every day. Overall service was excellent - attentive and helpful, sorting out my complicated booking and giving advice on getting around and facilities. Were ready to look up information and assist with any issues (like a malfunctioning travel charger!). Location is great for exploring Robson street, Stanley park and other tourist areas. Walking distance to the seaside and the park. Tons of food and amenities nearby, some open 24 hours like 7/11, Tim Hortons and breko. An easy bus ride (<10 minutes) to the train station or a 20 minute walk. Some caveats - most of the deluxe rooms face the street which is still pretty active at night. Suggest an upgrade for light sleepers if in doubt but that said I'm a pretty light sleeper and I slept fine with the window closed. Also there's no elevator so might be tricky with baggage but staff are ready to help.

ダウンタウン内だけど閑静で便利！Posted Mar 8, 2015

Great value, great staff, great locationPosted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Great staff, great location, great value.
Cons: Just a few minor touch ups here and there. Better wifi.
Location: Terrific location in the heart of the city. Close to great restaurants, shopping, Stanley Park, Coal Harbor, and transportation options.
We had another terrific stay at the Greenbrier Hotel. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and professional. The accommodations are not 5-star quality, but you really can't beat the value and location. The room was large and comfortable, and we appreciated the convenience of the kitchenette. Housekeeping kept us well stocked with clean towels and kitchen implements. I highly recommend the Greenbrier Hotel to travelers looking for a great stay in the heart of downtown.

Affordable, Great Location, Friendly StaffPosted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, prompt service, clean large room, wi-fi, coffee in lobby lounge in morning, had everything I had hoped for.
Cons: Wi-fi was a bit spotty, but nothing debilitating. Other than that, excellent.
Location: Excellent location, located central to nearly everything. Walkable to Stanley Park, Coal Harbour, Robson, Downtown, plenty of restaurants.
I needed a place to stay while visiting Canada for an entire week while I sorted out business in Vancouver. I needed a place that was affordable, clean, accommodating. The Greenbrier met all these expectations and more. I was able to get a very affordable room for 5 nights in February, and my room was an executive suite, no less! Since I was using my room as a virtual business center for my stay, it made for a very roomy pleasant place to be most of the day. Staff was super friendly, super helpful, always willing to help. My room had a kitchen area including a fridge and a stove, a large living room space, private bathroom and separate bedroom. I almost feel bad I didn't get to take advantage of all the great amenities. The location was very good, located right in the middle of West End, near Coal Harbour, made for great walking distance to everything in Vancouver downtown. While staying on Robson can sometimes be noisy (Street noise), my bedroom was quiet so sleeping was of no issue. Wi-Fi was a bit iffy, as it would cut in and out sometimes, but I still managed to get all my work done in the time I was there. Overall, a great experience. For anyone looking for an affordable stay in Vancouver with a great value, Greenbrier is fantastic.

Cheap hotel with a good central locationPosted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: low cost and large suite.
Cons: Rooms were looking a little old and tired, fresh paint and new carpet would go a long way to cheering it up
Location: Good location and easy to walk to convention center, good choices for simple and relaxed dining.
The hotel is great if you just want to stay somewhere cheap while visiting Vancouver. If you want a flash hotel then this is not the place for you. Rooms were clean and basic and serviced everyday.

Quaint older facilityPosted Jan 31, 2015
The heating is central, not room controlled. My room was too warm and there was nothing the staff could do.

Nice hotel, just outside of Robson street businessPosted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Price, Location, Staff that I had interactions with were great, WiFi was included. The Suite was spacious and allowed for visitors.
Cons: With it being a older building, there were some maintenance concerns. But to put this in perspective, that is the business that I am in.
Location: all walking distance, Robson Street, Skytrain, Downtown, False Creek Ferry system, Stanley park.
Was in Vancouver for my daughters wedding, this location was perfect as I was able to walk to where ever I was going, including the False Creek ferry to access Granville Island. The Staff that I had dealt with were very helpful. The room I had a kitchen included, which allowed me to prepare myself food. But if you need anything to use in the kitchen besides the Coffee maker, give the front desk notice of what you need and they will try to accommodate as soon as possible.
