Great hotel experience, but noisy

Posted Nov 16, 2014
The hotel, the staff, the breakfast, the beds were all great, but our room overlooked Bridgeport road, and we are not used to all the traffic noise....so we didn't sleep much. Perhaps if we had been on the other side of the hotel it would have been better......but the hotel itself was great.

All good news

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Incredibly comfy Queen bed with 4 cushions and that everything got washed after each use.
Cons: Sorry to say that the Philipino girl serving the breakfast buffet was really not nice to some guests who just could not find the salt and pepper......
Location: I came in late and left early and it rained so I did not research the area.
The shuttle service to the airport, the fabulous breakfast and the very helpful/friendly reception staff made me give this hotel top marks.

Bad choice

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Close to airport.
Cons: Clean the carpets.
Carpet in the hallways was dirty and can't imagine how clean the room was as the carpet was a dark colour. Breakfast was not very good - eggs were disgusting. Found long black hairs on the bed covers.

not good for people with allergies

Posted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: well appointed room
Cons: clean it up, hotel is tired, control pets and guests
Location: great location near airport
there were not supposed to be any pets on our floor, yet there were urine spots on the already dirty carpet in the hallway. Our room was well appointed but my allergies started which is usually a sign of pets having been in the room. There was a delict Asian hanging around the lobby and breakfast area who was very concerning for a place where rooms are $100+. He must of been a guest, was in the dining area eating like a pig.

I would stay again for sure

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: I liked the convenience to the River Rock Casino. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and I thought the facility was very clean.
Cons: The only negative was I had a room on the side of the Hotel fronting Bridgeport Road and the traffic noise was noticeable in the morning.
Location: I only stayed at the Hotel for 16 hours, but it is only a 5 minute walk to the River Rock Casino...so very convenient in that regard.
I was attending a concert at The River Rock and needed accommodation close by and I was very pleased with my decision to stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton.

Had its ups and downs

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: staff was nice and accommodating
Cons: make sure the sheets put on the bed are washed thoroughly and maybe trim the trees or bush so its not against the building so bugs wont go inside
Location: near Richmond night market, plenty of food places downtown richmond
Overall the stay was ok, I was not happy about needing the sheets on both beds be changed as soon as I walk into the room. The sheets had some brown stains that were hard to miss, but they did change them promptly. The staff was nice and accommodating. I also found the breakfast served had plenty of choices to choose from hot or cold foods. Another thing I was not pleased with is the lady bugs found in the room. We had to capture 4 bugs and open the window to let them out. I think the second floor had a bush or tree right against the building so the bugs could have easily went inside. I have informed the staff so they can find where the lady bugs are entering. Sleeping was uncomfortable not because of the mattress but the bugs and having to inspect the rest of the sheets. I probably wont stay here again but the staff was accommodating and understanding.

Hotel Location

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Location is excellent
The location is great. Close to small restaurant ,(Burger King, Subway),liquor store Costco, train station and small strip mall and airport. After check out , the next day ,I called the hotel that I left my laptop's AC power cord attached to the wall outlet. But they cannot find it.

Decent hotel close to airport

Posted Sep 29, 2014
I needed an affordable room after arriving at the airport. The hotel is basic, clean, with helpful staff and well located. The breakfast was included which was good although after 8am there we a lot of people at the buffet. This is an efficiently run hotel and perfect for a short stop.
