“Good for Capilano University events”

We stayed here as a family for an event at nearby Capilano University. The room was clean and very pleasant. We paid extra for the slightly bigger double queen room, but it really just seemed the size of a normal room elsewhere. There was a stove top, and microwave, a fridge and kitchen equipment, but we did not use that. If we had, it would have meant cooking within a few feet of the end of the bed, since the room did not have a suite floorplan even though it had a kitchenette. Since we were not really planning on cooking, that was OK with us. I found one of the front desk staff members to be a little brusque. He did not explain the walking path to the college when I asked, which caused me to walk far out of my way. The restaurant staff was very good, everything was prompt, although they seemed very overworked. The same people who helped us for a late dinner were working again at breakfast. The room was remarkably comfortable with small details like placement of hooks, tissues, and other comforts more well thought out than in other hotels in this price range. I had been worried about allergies, but was not bothered by dogs or smokers during our stay, although they are allowed to stay in different rooms. I will definitely stay here again next year.

“Great place to stay!”

We had a great time in the surrounding area, the restaurant, pub, and spa near the hotel was great. Most places in the area accepted American money, the hotel also gave a good rate of exchange.

“Nice Hotel”

The hotel had friendly staff, a good workout room and pool area, was clean and had places to eat on or right near the premises with a grocery store within walking distance. The location of the hotel in relation to the downtown area or where most of the store and/or attractions were was not close. You would need to rent a car, take a taxi or the bus. But the bus stop was very close to hotel and the public transportation was useful for getting around.
