Low shower pressure

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: I liked leaving and having a shower at the YMCA
Cons: SHOWER PRESSURE
The rrom was fine. bed was comfortable. In the morinig I needed to take a shower to wake up and the shower pressure was so low I was really annoyed. I would rather have alumpy bed than no shower pressure. Really weak.

Good hotel, amazing location

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Set amongst Granville and Davies, this hotel offers a good spring board to downtown Vancouver, and a great spot to get amongst it. The neighborhood is fairly lively particularly on weekends, as the rooms are comfortable counterpoint to what's happening in the street. The Hotel is in easy walking distance of all downtown Vancouver has to offer, from China town, great food on Granville Village, hipster bars and cafe's in Gasstown, Gay district on Davies and of course the wonderfully sketchy clubs and dispensaries on Granville!

HOJO hotel stay

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms are outdated and the bed was average at best. However for a quick stay it was fine. Good place for younger people wanting to see Vancouver.
Location: Both major Stadiums, Yaletown, Pacific Centre, False Creek.
Good location, decent price. Beds were not comfortably set up. Granville street in general is loud so beware of that when booking. Many drunk people on the streets. Overall for the price it was fine. Walking distance to BC place and Rogers arena, Yaletown and even the west end. Very central for transportation as well 5 min walk to Canada line.

Do not stay here!

Posted Feb 17, 2015
This hotel is the worst I've ever stayed at. I was booked in for two nights and cancelled the second because it was so bad. The rooms are beyond outdated and the hotel smells like urine. There's a night club underneath the hotel that blasts music until 3am ( two floors below our room). Once the club closes all the patrons (young, loud kids) either enter the hotel or continue the party on the sidewalk out front. The room beneath ours was blasting music so loud it woke us up. They were never spoken to. Do yourself a favour by not staying here!!

Not worth the money

Posted Feb 12, 2015
No mini fridge, small room. The water in the shower turned cold while in it for two minutes.. Close to many places right on the dt strip, but very loud and noisy at night to sleep. Parking was $19 a night, not even a good place to park, ridculous. Paying way too much for this place, it really needs renos. Ice machines were out on out floor and when called room service, they said go up the next skip floor because the one on our floor is popular. So they didn't even refill it..

Great value for the price

Posted Feb 8, 2015
This is my third stay here (last time was in 2009). My room was clean, comfortable decor, free wifi. Friendly staff. I came into town to write an exam at UBC. I checked in at 11pm, checked out by 7am (slept/studied). Due to the limited amount of time I didn't want to spend the extra cash on a 4 star. Overall I trust this hotel, and would come back again if I needed a short stay accomodation.

great staff

Posted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: the staff at the front desk were awesome and very warm.
Cons: bedding was old and thin. parking should be included in price.
Location: awesome location
the staff is great. the hotel is older but comfortable. our room was on the 3rd floor and faced the road (not the alley) and it was loud and busy. we had to leave our heater/fan on to drown out the noise but that made the room really hot. ear plugs next time! The bar next door is super lame and, although there is a entrance directly in the lobby, we were not allowed to bring our drinks to our room. parking was an additional fee but right next to the hotel.

Good place on a budget

The front desk woman was wonderful and got us checked in early. The place was a great price. It could have been a bit cleaner but considering the price I can't complain.
