Excellent location

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff and user friendly facilities.
Cons: Faulty fire alarm or maybe inconsiderate guests?
Location: Mozart at the Orpheum, rent a car and drive to Whistler for the day, cycle around Stanley Park or out to Jericho Beach, try Modina next door.
We used the complimentary bikes to enable us to see so much more of Vancouver. The location is ideal for getting around on either bike or foot. The fire alarm went off twice during our stay (once at 1am!) but the hotel reacted well on both occasions and even offered a complimentary breakfast. Try the outdoor pool if the weather is good. I will definitely consider staying here again.

Great short stay!

What a great hotel! The rooms was fantastic and it has everything we needed for a short-stay before we moved to Whistler. The swimming pool was the kids' favourite's but I liked the large bath. Will definitely come back again!

Fabulous Hotel in the heart of Downtown Vancouver!

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Great downtown location! Impeccable staff service. Romantic fireplace in the room. Free Wi-Fi. Separate Shower and Tub. Outdoor pool and hot tub!
Cons: At the time of writing, construction work is going on opposite the hotel so city views from the hotel may be unsightly. Noise may also be an issue.
Location: Brilliant cafe next door to the hotel. Huge shopping area around the corner. The scenic Stanley Park is walkable from here too!
Absolutely loved our stay at L'Hermitage! As a first time visitor to Vancouver, the hotel was in a brilliant downtown location. Top rated restaurants, cafe's and shopping areas were all nearby. Staff Service was superb! We were even allowed to check-in a few hours early. Lots of lovely touches - staff called the room to check everything was to our satisfaction 15 minutes after settling in. We would also return to the room every evening to find the fireplace on and chocolates left on the bed! Girlfriend was suitably impressed. Bathroom was huge too - it had both a separate shower and a separate tub! Great amenities too - the outdoor Swimming Pool and Hot Tub provided a scenic view of the city! All in all, a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely hotel with wonderful employees

Posted Apr 12, 2015
We stayed at L'Hermitage for 4 nights to celebrate our 1st anniversary. I can't say enough good things about the people. From the wonderful concierge who always had ideas and discounts to share to the professional and kind valet service to the fact that every single time you encounter any employee they greet you warmly. It is obvious customer service is their top priority! The team went out of their way to make our stay special including help with reservations and a special card and complimentary bottle of champagne on our anniversary. We truly felt like we were staying with family! The premises is beautiful and smells incredible. I already miss the beautiful fragrance that hits you when you walk in the lobby. It's the small things! Couple of things to note on the not so good side - the bed was god awful. Sagged so bad that my husband and I still have sore backs. One minor hiccup - one day our room didnt get attended to at all. We were gone all day and the do not disturb sign was not out. We returned at 4:40 and the room hadn't been touched. A house keeper saw us come back and came and said they didn't clean it because we didn't hang a service please sign out. We found that pretty strange. At least she gave us a couple towels to make it a bit better. Last little note - the wifi is incredibly slow!

Good central hotel with pool

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Location, pool,bathroom.
Cons: The noisy fan/heater in the room disturbed our sleep. Breakfast (waffles) was nice but a little stodgy.
Location: Great! Very close to Rogers Arena for ice hockey games.
Great experience, friendly staff, nice too and bathroom and great pool, hot tub.
