L'Hermitage was wonderful!

Posted Aug 18, 2014
We arrived after biking from Seattle to Vancouver. The staff took my bike and stored it for me, then whisked us upstairs where we promptly crashed in style for a couple hours. Wonderfully friendly staff were quick to provide room service. Never had to wait. Plus the setting is gorgeous, rooms were quite spacious (and we were staying in a smaller boutique room), and everything went without a hitch. We'll come back.

Pros: convenient location; exceptionally welcoming staff, comfortable room
L'Hermitage became our 'home' immediately. The staff was welcoming, gracious and helpful. The suite was clean and comfortable. The library/business center was convenient and quiet. Since the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the hotel's outdoor private patio at the end of our touristing day. Were it raining we could have gone to the indoor lounging area and enjoyed that as well. The hotel is centrally located in the downtown area so we were able to walk most places... Stanley Park, Canadian Place, Yaletown.

The staff was great. Enjoyed the pool very much. Having a balcony was great as you could hear the water from the pool.

excellent hotel

Excellent hotel with a great location. Everything was exceptionally good. Great breakfast. The only fault is air condition which is a bit noisy , a problem that we encountered in all the hotels that we stayed in Canada.

Luxury boutique hotel!

Pros: Everything!
Cons: See comment above about mug sizes.
I was a bit put off when arriving, to notice the large construction project across the road. Happily, my room was at the back and very quiet. I loved the private terrace. The room was elegant and comfortable, with a well appointed bath. It was nice to have the Nespresso machine and a kettle and fridge, but I also would have liked some larger mugs, for a big cup of tea. Even a paper cup would be fine. The pool area was so lovely and quiet, I decided to spend the morning there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.

Helpful staff ina central location

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Upon check in, we were upgraded to a well appointed one bedroom suite. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, offering service as soon as we pulled up in front of the hotel. The check in process was completed efficiently as was the valet parking process when we needed our vehicle. Apologies were made for the construction across the street but as we were up before 8:30 the next morning, it was not an issue. The air conditioning was much appreciated on a very warm day. The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to many Vancouver attractions.

Worldly and welcoming city stay for family of four

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The hotel manager brought our children popsicles at the pool to reward them for being quiet at another hotel guest's request
Cons: Major construction happening across the street - a major high rise building that spans nearly a city block is going up so that was a surprise
Location: Close walk to Yaletown and Chinatown, as well as to the waterfront on all sides. Stanley Park is amazing!
Things that really set this property apart were the residential comforts of the one bedroom suites including kitchen with high end appliances and a small office looking out across many gleaming glass structures and rooftop gardens. It was also so nice to be able to use the in room laundry machine and dryer. The staff provided us with kids spa robes and they loved swimming in the lap pool each day. The concierge was also very good. We had two great dinners out at Japanese and Chinese restaurants within walking distance.
