Hotel staff were very kind and knowledgeable about the area. I love the central location. Room was very nice size. Wish I could have stayed for a month.

Excellent Location!

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location!
Cons: Pool & hot tub area.
Location: A 20-30 minute walk to English Bay, Granville Island, Stanley Park, or Seabus. Movie theatre kitty corner. Shopping close by (Robson & pacific center)
The location of this hotel is by far its best feature. Heart of downtown, and a 20-30 minute walk to English Bay, Granville Island, Stanley Park, or Seabus to North Van. It's just off the main drag for shopping (Robson) and 3 blocks from the mall. Hotel is a little older, but still very nice. Clean, friendly hotel and excellent customer service. The concierge was so unbelievably helpful! We stayed in the Deluxe King Suite, and it was a full apartment with balcony, and if you can afford to splurge the few extra $$'s, do it! Pool and hot tub are a little small & outdated, but still enjoyable. For the price we paid, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Also, if you're wanting to do some fine dining, we STRONGLY recommend going to Joe Fortes and Black and Blue restaurants (walking distance). They were expensive, but well worth the money!!!

A fine hotel

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: A spacious suite, very comfortable....ideal for an afternoon visit with a friend
Cons: Sunday brunch, Mother's Day was $59. which I found a bit pricey. Re. internet, Business Office charges a fee; many hotels offer free internet.
Location: Great location
I arrived at the hotel on Sunday morning, before noon. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in so early....no delay and without my asking to check in early - much appreciated

Last time here

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: great location
Good location, 6th time staying here, Staff excellent, room lousy, asked for special room when reservation was made, said they would try to accommodate. when we arrived, of the 16 room requested none were available, the room we specifically asked not to have was given us. The view non existing from bedroom, only wall in front, from living room we could barely see around corner, German Sheppard dog next door room, who barked or cried all the time when alone. We enjoyed all our previous stays but no more. We asked a couple times if we could be moved, but all rooms were occupied or reserved.

Stayed at the Residence

Hotel is not bad. Our room was is in so so shape . Bathroom and kitchen looked like they are from old rental apartment. It definitely did not have any luxury feel as one may expect for this price.

Stayed for Marathon weekend

We have been staying at the Sutton for years. Its our go to hotel when in town. We always enjoy it. Staff is very friendly and accomidating. Only issue this trip was we had a room facing the front of the building and the noise from Burrard and the driveway was quite loud. Next time I will reqest a room at the back of the hotel.
