Great place for families. The best location in town

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: AC could be quieter and the glass doors while look stylish reduce comfort.
Location: In the heart of Vancouver. Close to everything!
Stayed for the weekend with our 15yo son. Great to have a separate bedroom. They were overbooked and gave us a "modern suite" as an upgrade. The staff was very courteous and handle every request as well as fix every mistake extremely well. The air conditioning was somewhat loud and the fact that all the doors have glass defeats the purpose of having separate bedroom if you travel with kids. I would advise to get a traditional suite if you travel with more than 2 people. Otherwise the hotel is great - the location is simply the best in Vancouver.

Quick stay, but some negatives

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Excellent breakfast, courteous staff. Great I bedroom suite with all amenities (except hot water).
Cons: Hot water? And a impulse to put things right before you have to insist. Charging 75c for an extra tea bag: I kid you not - there's a sign in the room
Location: lots of shopping and entertainment!
We were only staying for a night with kids in tow but when we checked in at 3.30 (check in is 3pm) they said the room would not be available for another 30 mins. However, when we insisted they found us another room pretty quickly. Breakfast the next day was excellent, if a little late, but the kicker was there was no hot water! So the hotel gave us brekfast for free which was good but...

Pros: Everything!
Cons: More elevators would be nice.
I stayed at The Residence and would go back again. Room size was ample. Plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom was a good size. The kitchen was incredible, it had all the necessary appliances. The living area and balcony were and added bonus. The gym and the Spa were supricingly big and functional. The small shop were you could stock up milk cereals ...etc was a delight.

Loved this hotel--Great location!

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Spacious rooms, with full kitchen and living room, two televisions. Love that the Canadians recycle everything!
Cons: Stocking napkins and paper towels in the kitchen would have been nice.
Location: So much within walking distance- Stanley Park, Olympic Cauldron, Granville Public Market, lots of filming set sites and celebrity sightings!
The staff was incredibly attentive. Highly recommend conceirge, they were all so attentive! When our luggage didn't arrive with us, they made sure we had all we needed. Bell staff fabulous, management very accommodating when we requested a room change because of construction noise. Would definitely return.

Close to concert venue and great dining

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Sweet suite - made us feel like we were in a home not a hotel.
Cons: Coffe and tea in suite - though I believe it was meant to be included, someone just missed stocking it in the suite.
Location: Theatres, shopping, great dining. It's close to anything you are looking for!
Our room was ready even though we arrived early and we expected a wait - we were very happy with this. We were pleasanty surprised to be in a suite, not a room, which made us feel like we had our own "home away from home". It was fully outfitted with a dining room, living room, bathroom and bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed except.....coffee and tea, but this must have been an oversight because there was a package of decaf coffee and accompaniments beside the coffee maker. We dined at Joey on Burrard, conveniently right across the street, and had the best dinner and service that we could have imagined. We were withing walking distance of the concert venue that we were attending which made for a sweeter experience - no waiting for a cab and an enjoyable walk. A great place to stay!

Nice hotel right in downtown

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: The location, the staff, the restaurant, the room: everything is good.
Cons: Maybe, the courtesy transportation for the clients to go shopping, to get to the restaurants and to the airport.
Location: Near the hotel, there is a lot of nice restaurants and we can walk to the beach as well.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Everything is at walking distance: shopping, restaurants and most of all is the safety during day and night.
