Close to airport; friendly staffPosted Apr 15, 2014
I booked this hotel as I wanted somewhere close to Vancouver Airport. The free airport shuttle service was convenient and easy. Room was clean and big, everything was in working condition. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at the Reception desk. The free breakfast may not be lavish but was adequate. I enjoyed my overnight stay.

A Great place to stayPosted Apr 12, 2014
We are impressed with the staff, they are friendly, helpful and looked after us well. It was fantastic to get picked up from the airport and able to get into our room quickly, after a long flight from Sydney. We got good advice about what was around the area, close to lots of restaurants and 2 big shopping malls. Skytrain 5 min walk away, located to everything we wanted.

Simple, clean hotel and inexpensive overnight stayPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: The price was excellent for a clean, basic stay.
Location: The hotel is in the middle of fantastic Asian restaurants. Many, good, inexpensive meals are just outside the door.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, they even allowed us to use the pool past hours, as we arrived very late.

A hotel with character.Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Location, reasonable rates, and comfortable atmosphere.
Cons: Better room insulation (heavier room doors?). Could hear noise from neighboring rooms.
Location: Did not get to take advantage of local attractions nor amenities due to conference taking up most of my time.
I choose this hotel because it is pet friendly, quaint, and was very close to a conference I was attending. The staff was helpful and accommodating with my special requests. Hot tub had nice strong jets : ) but were all low so could only get lower back. Breakfast was fine. Great that take-away coffee cups are compost-able! Too bad the plates, cutler, nor juice/water cups are not.

A Good Stay.Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: The hotel was very clean, the staff was very courteous and the pool plus hot tub were available. The breakfast was okay, but we ate Chinese breakfast
Cons: We had requested that the shower door be fixed as it had a loose hinge which made it difficult to close. It wasn't fixed two days later as we left.
Location: It costs $9.75 CDN for a daypass on the SkyTrain and we used it to explore the city. ($7.25 for kids or seniors). Much better than to drive and park
We wanted an inexpensive hotel with a good Asian neighborhood. I travel frequently to China and I heard Richmond, BC was very Chinese in atmosphere. We chose the La Quinta from previous revues. We found ourselves surrounded by many, many Asian restaurants, including authentic food at the Aberdeen Mall Food Court which was fantastic for choices. There is a McDonalds if desired and the SkyTrain is a few blocks away allows for time in downtown Vancouver. Buy a day pass and you can ride the passenger ferry across the water as well, or take the bus to Stanley Park. On our second night we discovered we could hear the conversation in the room next door, which was disappointing. Some others complained about jet noise, we barely noticed this. Our Canadian encounters were with helpful people who readily answered our requests for directions, etc. We plan to repeat the trip someday.

Nice hotel butPosted Apr 4, 2014
Free airport shuttle was advertised but we had to get a taxi because unaware to us, it didn't run after 9:30 pm. There were a lot of irate customers including ourselves.
