Sexy modern comfortable

Could be a little less pretentious at the front desk but valets both super down to earth, conversational. Rooms modern, sexy, and very comfortable.

Lovely Time!

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: The location, style, and helpfulness of staff.
Location: Great downtown location near the harbor and Gastown. We were comfortable walking just about every where.
My husband, son and I had a lovely stay at the Loden! Our room was perfect for our needs...plenty of space for everyone. The location was terrific and the staff more than helpful. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great downtown location in Vancouver.

Great Hotel, Superb service, close to harbour

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Service, location, and room quality were excellent.
Stayed for 2 full days in July, and were very pleased with the quality of the hotel, and most of all, the staff. Everyone from the front desk staff (and especially Kayli) to the bell captain were excellent, with directions, tips, and recommendations. The room was very nice, modern and quiet. Location is 2 blocks to the harbour, so very convenient.

Very nice centrally located hotel.

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Excellent staff. Comfortable beds. Great pillows. Bicycles to borrow!! Central location - we walked and/or biked to several interesting areas.
Cons: Floor around toilet was not clean. Some one else's shirt was in the closet when we arrived!? Bath towels could be improved upon.
Location: GREAT downtown location: beautiful neighborhoods (including ocean front) to tour through, stop for a great meal or just sip a good coffee.
Overall a great experience. We had zero issues. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

Conveniently located in downtown Vancouver!

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Friendly, genuinely warm and helpful staff - not pretentious or snooty. Great pillows and a nice deep soaking tub.
Cons: Provide bath salts for the lovely tub? Would prefer a different type of desk chair and additional electrical outlets at the desk.
Location: Extremely close to the Burrard Sky Train Station, nearby shopping (both high end and general) plenty of restaurants and Gastown
The staff at the Loden was warm and welcoming. When I inquired about paying for an upgrade to a nicer room, the front desk attendant was very candid and assured me that I would be very happy with the room I had and that spending additional money was not warranted (what a surprise!) The room on the 9th floor was fine, quiet and had all the ammenities I required. My only comments would be that the cabinetry was a bit worn, and that I stubbed my toe several times on the base of the desk chair, so I would have preferred something with a different base. There were bikes, helmets, locks, etc. available in the lobby to use (a very nice offering) and there was a hotel car available for any short hop in the immediate vicinity downtown (which was nice on the one day it rained). The continental breakfast was more than adequate and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was great. All in all, a very pleasant two night stay at the Loden. I stayed three additional nights at L' Ermitage, and for my taste, I prefer the Loden.

As they say themselves, quiet, central, convenient

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Clever room design, comfortable, silent!
Excellent hotel in a great location. Easy access to the SkyTrain stations and an easy to walk to most of the sites in downtown Vancouver. Friendly and welcoming staff, a large room with a great view from the 10th floor, very comfortable bed, and not a single noise heard the whole stay, apart from the staff knocking on the door with water, ice and chocolate. A real oasis of calm and quiet.

Great boutique hotel in excellent location

Posted Jul 1, 2014
We came to Vancouver to watch a musical, and we needed a place to stay for one night. I wanted to choose a nice hotel, and one of my criteria was a nice bathroom. The bathroom was indeed very nice. It had a deep bathtub and a separate shower. The room itself felt very comfortable and spacious. Since this is considered a boutique hotel, it doesn't have all the amenities a chain hotel would have, like a pool, but it has a gym and they even have bikes to use for free, which we took advantage of. The location is great, and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go.

Good location and friendly staff make this a great option for the leisure traveler in Vancouver. I miss not having a gym in the hotel but the great walks made up for that.

Great accomodations

Great hotel room, especially for the price. Great view (floor to ceiling windows), love the separate shower from the tub, spacious bathroom . . . and the restaurant in the lobby is quite good too. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend to friends.
