Great all around hotel in Vancouver

Posted Jun 24, 2015
The Loden is in a great location. Close proximity to the seawall for bike riding and walking. Easy to get to Stanley Park and BC Place to catch Grouse Mountain shuttles. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary Loden hotel taxi is very convenient for getting around locally. They also offer hotel bikes to ride no charge which I highly recommend a ride around the sea wall.

The Loden is an easy walk to Stanley park, and not too far from both Gastown and BC place/Rogers Arena. We parked our car when we got there and never used it again until we checked out. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive yet not intrusive. We had zero problems. It was a pleasure to stay there and would love to do so again. The room was not cheap. We were there during the Womens FIFA World Cup so the hotel prices seemed inflated across the downtown area. That said, I feel I got a good deal, especially when you factor in what the hotel delivers.

Elegant and centrally located

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: The air conditioner was a bit noisy and a little too cool for me.
Location: It was a nice stroll to the water and all the amenities it had to offer as well as close to the shopping streets.
The purpose of our trip was to take in the Women's World Cup soccer game between the US and Nigeria. We wanted something that was within walking distance of the venue and near the water, but also near shopping. The Loden fit the bill on all accounts. The bonus, it was a lovely hotel with excellent service.

Location: Walkable location to EVERYTHING in the city, while on a quieter street without all the hustle and bustle of the city.
Everything about our stay way excellent. The Loden staff knows how to make their guests feel special. We had a corner room which I highly recommend for the floor to ceiling windows. We were staying for our anniversary and a manager personally delivered champagne to our room. While this hotel doesn't have the amenities of some of the bigger chain hotels, they do have free bicycle rental. The bikes were in great condition and included storage for our picnic in Stanley Park.

The hotel was downtown and close to shopping.

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: The staff and the rooms
Cons: Can't think of a single thing
Location: Stanley Park, shopping on Robson, etc.
The hotel staff was very helpful and agreeable. They lent us bikes to ride to Stanley Park and even provided water to take with us. They called us a cab when we needed one. When our cruise ship arrived I called the hotel and they sent a car to us and allowed us to check in early. The rooms were nicely decorated. The Loden really made our stay in Vancouver.

Recommend the Loden

Excellent smaller hotel in a central downtown location. Enjoyed a nice corner room with floor to ceiling windows to enhance the view. Renovated and in great condition. Exceptional staff! Used the courtesy hotel taxi service for some fun trips. Great way to enjoy Vancouver.

Beautiful, comfortable boutique hotel!

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: This is a beautiful, comfortable boutique hotel conveniently located in downtown, within walking distance to Coal Harbor and fine dining, and shopping
Cons: No recommendations for improvement.
Location: Close to fine dining, beautiful parks, marina and shopping
This is a beautiful, comfortable boutique hotel conveniently located in downtown, within walking distance to Coal Harbor and fine dining, and shopping options! The walk along the shore was beautifully landscaped with a wide variety of flowers, bushes and trees! The hotel was very accommodating, provided free wifi, had a delightful front desk and porter staff! A wonderful experience over all!

Lovely hotel, excellent location and helpful staff

Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: The location, the helpful and welcoming staff and the rooms/amenities.
Location: There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Take a leisurely walk along the harbor front, there is lots to see down there.
We arrived far too early for the usual check-in time but our room was ready and the staff were only too happy for us to check-in early, which was great because we were exhausted after our journey. The rooms are very modern and clean with everything you need including bath robe and slippers! It was our wedding anniversary during our stay and the hotel staff surprised us with a bottle of bubbly in our room! It is an easy journey from the airport to downtown on the train and the hotel is just a short walk from the train station (approx. 10-15 mins). It is an even shorter walk to the harbor - great location! We didn't eat in the restaurant attached to the hotel, but it was always full, so I assumed the food was good.
