“Very Nice Stay”
While this is not one of the major hotel chains, I found theservice and amenities great. It was very relaxing to be able to check in, hit the gym and whirlpool, and then get a good nap before joining up with some friends. The gym facilities, pool and whirlpool, while somewhat small compared with some others I have see were quite adequate. The location is perfect, in the of downtown Vancouver. I would definitely come back.
“Great Hotel”
Beautiful hotel located close to everything I wanted to see. Large modern rooms with a geat bathroom tub and seperate shower. Very helpful doormen and front desk. Room service meal prices expensive, but lots of nearby dining choices. Great mall across the street. I want to go back soon!
“We'll be back!”
Quiet, for the main pare - clean, subduded room colors. Friendly, helpful staff who project competence. Forgot to metion (to staff) that the little speaker dial in the bathroom was 'wonky' & only worked 2 of our 4 day stay. The 2 oil prints, from a smaller person's face, smudged on the window, in a somewhat, non obivious spot. Enjoyed their outstanding haute cuisine "Diva", worth the $$$ spent, with the bonus that your room was within easy reach.
“Would definitely go back”
excellent service, excellent location and great price...what more could you ask for? We travel alot and had absolutely no complaints about this hotel. We have stayed in many in the Vancouver area and overall I would say this is the one I will be returning to.
“Great hotel, fantastic location”
The hotel was very good value for money. It is centrally located and in a pleasant part of the city. The rooms were spacious, light and very clean and comfortable.
“Vancouver's Best Hotel”
Large rooms, with piped in TV speaker to bathroom. Very clean and friendly staff. Would go back.
“Will definitely stay at the Metropolitan again!”
The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. I stayed in a room with a small, step-out balcony, and while smaller than some king bed rooms, it was very comfortable and sunny. The room must have been tended with magic because I never saw any cleaning staff come or go on the floor! No noise from neighboring rooms. Quiet, and very clean. Bathrooms are large with separate shower and tub stocked with plenty of large towels. Mini bar and snack are available in the room, and not surprisingly overpriced. Location couldn't have been better. In easy walking distance to cruise ship terminal, museum, Robson Street shops, and Gastown, and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel for exploration further outside the downtown area. The Diva restaurant in the hotel is very good but expensive. There are so many small and varied restaurants in the area that I never ran out of new places and cuisine to try. I'd definitely stay here again!
“Easy, efficient, pleasurable”
This is the third time we have stayed in the Metropolitan, and now I just try to stay there. For location and service it is wonderful. The staff are efficient and helpful. It's upscale yet personable. My husband and I just feel really comfortable at the Met.
“Great Hotel for Leisure or Business”
We (7 of us in four separate rooms) were very satisfied with all services that we used. We were quite pleased with the COnsierge, cleaners, Hotel ameneties and overall experience. We all would recommend this hotel. It was especially close to all the shops we wanted to visit. We also will expound on the values that Expedia offered for the hotel bookings.
“Nice Stay in Vancouver”
We found the Metropolitan hotel very comfortable and close to the central downtown Vancouver area. Everything was as advertisied and we would recommend this hotel as a good value.
