Stay in Vancouver!Posted Jul 21, 2014
Great hotel, conveniently located about 5 blocks from waterfront. Very helpful staff...got connected for 2 tours to help us see Vancouver and Victoria. Two blocks from the train that can take you to or from the airport.

great locationPosted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: yound doorman who gave attitude of not wanting to be there and not wanting to have to deal with you.
I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have always liked it's location to the business district but also to the food and entertainment areas.

Love the Metropolitan.Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Location. Great service. Nice rooms. Very comfortable beds. Great fitness center/pool/hot tub.
Location: All of downtown Vancouver is walking distance. Shops, restaurants, music, etc.
Stayed at the Metropolitan twice now and loved it each time. This last time we were in town for the Vancouver Jazz Festival and the downtown location was close to all the shows we sent to as well as to great restaurants. We were able to walk everywhere, The staff are wonderful as is the service overall. The fitness center/pool/hot tub is great and having steam and sauna in the locker room was a nice touch. Asked for a late checkout (which we wound up not really needing) and they generously granted one until 2pm right away. I would stay here again, no problem.

DisappointingPosted Jun 20, 2014
Compared to other hotels in the DT area this was not good. I wouldn't stay here again. The restaurant was extremely expensive.

Paid too much for location. Hotel was o k .would nPosted Jun 10, 2014
Cons: Expedia rates should be
Overpriced hotel. The expedia rate I paid in advance was the same as the floating rack rate. That was disappointing and felt cheated more by expedia than the hotel facilities etc. Commercial hotel. Don't remember anything to talk about. It was close to shops, restaurants ,etc. Touristy place. Business hotel. Would not remember it or go there again. Disappointing.

Nice hotel and excellent locationPosted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Very much.
Cons: The elevator is a little bit old and it might be good if this is updated.
Location: could go shopping and eating on Robson Street and also Graville street. As it is close to sky train stations, it is very easy to travel around.
about 5 minutes' walk to the busiest Robson street for food and shopping and ~ 10 minutes' walk to Canada place for sightseeing. Very convenient location for various purpose. We had a very nice stay and the staff were very friendly. As we arrived in early in the morning, our room was ready for check-in as requested.

Great Downtown LocationPosted Jun 1, 2014
It's a great hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Has coffee and tea facilities, minibar and cafe in the lobby. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Hotel is 3mins walk from Vancouver City train station which links directly to the airport. It's directly across the street from small Pacific Central mall that also has a food court. And a block and a half away from Robson Street for souvenirs, designer shop, bars, restaurants and cafés.
