Shows its age

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Was OK. I've been staying there for about 20 years and it's always been a fine hotel... but it could really be maintained a bit. Maybe in the '90's, there was a use for a bathroom telephone.... but I think a bathroom fan might serve more use now. The hotel mentality is still "old".... where everything is super expensive when it need not be. The room rates are reasonable, but parking is outrageous and god help you if you have a beer from the minibar. These are nice amenities, but if you're paying over $200 a night on a room, there should be real cream for your coffee (and good coffee) in the fridge (like much cheaper hotels).

ドラッグストアが、近くにありショッピングにとても便利!道が凸凹していないのでスーツケースでの移動がスムーズで空港までスカイトレイン乗り換え無し!とても快適でした。

Great hotel in the dowotown

Amazing personable experience. All the staff were friendly. Only thing that sucked was the two twin beds were really small but overall amazing and accommodating and quiet.

The hotel has a great location close to lots of options (shopping, eating, etc). Room was clean and comfy, and it did have free wifi which is nice. Staff was friendly, I would stay again.

A Perfect Place to Stay

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: It's location, cleanliness and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing that I could see or needed.
Location: It was one block off the SkyTrain. 1/2 block from a major mall and right downtown Vancouver. Perfect for my trip.
I was so surprised to be treated like royalty at a hotel I paid a little more than I would for a cheap motel. This place is awesome! The staff was wonderful. Doors were opened for us. We were allowed to check in a little early. The room was perfect. Not giant! It didn't need to be. It was very clean and well stocked with towels, lotions, soaps, etc. The paper showed up each morning at the door. The indoor pool was amazing. The indoor hot tub. The work out room, the squash court, the business center .... ETC!!!!! The bar and restaurant were very classy. Overall ... you can't find a better place for the money I paid.

Well designed hotel in need of update

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: original design was well thought out.
Cons: Many updates - lower parking fee
Location: Great location
All amenities are very good - it just is in need of update. Elevators are always in repair and a lot of things show their age and many need repair - Also parking is $40 per day ! I would only stay if the price is low.

Great all-around hotel

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Concierge, room, bathroom, parking.
Location: Food, drinks, shopping, ocean, parade route, Chinatown, Granville Entertainment District, Gastown, Stanley Park.
My fiance and I drove up north to spend a weekend in Vancouver after a 50% off hotel weekend from Expedia. We chose this hotel from many based on location. We were definitely happy with our choice. It is right in the middle of downtown, just blocks from the water, restaurants, Gastown, Chinatown, and Robson Street. Everyone working at the hotel was very helpful, from finding out where to eat, to giving us directions out of town. We were from out of the country and could only use our phones where there was wi-fi, so I did a lot of asking. The room was fantastic. We had a 17th floor room with a balcony. It was very modern and clean. High end shampoo and conditioner. Great big bathroom with a large bathtub and shower. And a bath robe for the relaxing times. There is 24 hour room service from the restaurant in the hotel. We did not have the opportunity to try it, but it's worth noting. Parking costs extra, but it's hard to park anywhere in Vancouver, so it was appreciated. This hotel was a great place to stay and I'd definitely go back.

Here for Business.

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Furnishings and bathrooms could be updated.
Location: Location close to business area
I was in Vancouver for less than 24 hours for a meeting. The hotel was close to my meeting and was the perfect spot to stay in. I only wish I was there longer! Staff were polite and welcoming. Breakfast was nice and the overall feel of the hotel was good. Furnishings were a bit tired and bathrooms a bit dated but overall a perfect stay.
