Convenient location to Ski areas

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Pros: Included breakfast and close to Cypress Ski Area and Grouse Mountain.
Cons: Room AC
Location: Good for a family with a kid for enjoying nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge.
Better than expected with friendly staff at reception desk.

Clean , easy to find and near capillano bridge.

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Parking car outside our room. Fridge and microwave. Not far out from things
Cons: Inside seating for breakfast or an extra chair in the rooms to eat there. Not to be so off when asked a simple request.
Location: Capillano suspension bridge and grouse mountain just up the road and easy to get to downtown Vancouver , Stanley park and lions gatebridge.
It wasn't a bad stay, we only did one night, both bathroom and bedroom are very clean, does have a bit of an 'old smell' but not to make a big deal out of. Is more like a motel, as its all in separate blocks, but that's not a bad thing as we were on the lower floor and was able to park our car right outside. Near road but can't hear it, good night sleep, I certainly feel you need a car with this place, things are close by but only made easier by having a car, seemed like a nice neighbourhood. Only concern was that when we arrived they wanted a card to put a charge over it (incase of damage I guess) which is fine but when I asked for a copy I was told a void receipt would be given to me on departure , when it came to departure I was then told I wouldn't get the void until it was cleaned (when I left) I'm currently traveling at the moment so it going to my home address or being chrged when I'm not able to sort as easy wasn't an option after persisting he went and checked and then voided. Seemed unhappy that we requested this, even though I was told I Would be given one. Breakfast was ok, the pancakes where nice but a hassel when it goes wrong/runs out, I don't understand why on earth they have only outside seating? And don't have the heaters on?! Well no one said there was indoor else where, but we took it back to our room, which wasn't a problem.

Excellent Value, Great Location

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Convenience
Location: North Vancouver Sights
Had a short family vacation, our room was spotless, location excellent, facilities good, breakfast was a good value and it was nice to be able to eat and get out for the day first thing in the morning with minimal effort on our part. Highly recommended for a good value hotel stay, lots of good restaurants nearby....

Very affordable, clean, close to everything

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: rate, cleanliness, location
Location: Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Horseshoe Bay Ferry, Downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park
Had a lovely stay at the North Vancouver Hotel. Rates were very affordable, room was clean, and the location is excellent (2 minute walk to the bus stop and a further 10 minutes to downtown). Staff was most helpful with extra linens for child crib. Microwave and fridge were nice extras. Breakfast, though not included in our package, looked excellent.

Had 2 adjoining rooms - each with 2 queen beds - for 3 adults & 2 kids. Lots of room. Beds & pillows were so comfortable it was hard to get up for the inclusive breakfast. Stayed 3 nights & received a 30% discount. Great value for the $.

Sleepy hotel in quiet North Van

Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Safe neigbourhood, clean rooms, not loud, free breaky!
Cons: Indoor breakfast eating are for when it's cold out, more cable channels.
Location: Very close to Capilano Suspension Bridges, only a bus ride away. Stanley park and downtown are close as well, and two malls nearby with bars and food.
Vancouver hotels are generally overpriced, so to find good value is great. The only downside of this place was that it was in North Vancouver, which could be considered as a suburb I suppose. However; this is not much of a downside at all, you are still only a few minutes away from downtown, you are in a much safer and quieter neighbourhood, and you still have all the amentities around you. They had free breakfast in the morning which is always great, the pancake machine was broken one day but that was okay because they still had sausages and scrambled eggs. Would be nice if there was an indoor dining area for when it's colder, but not that big a problem. Was more like a motel than a hotel which is fine by me, for sure would stay there again if the price is right!
