Dear Guest, Thank you for the feedback. I would suggest if you stay in the future to book a non-view room then, that way you will be on the south side of the hotel, off the street. You don't have the spectacular view in these rooms but they are definitely quieter. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Vancouver. Jill Love Rooms Division Manager

I was there due to my father having cancer surgery

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: close to hospital and beds were really comfortable-staff was very friendly and attentive.
Cons: maybe a free shuttle to and from airport
Location: as above
Location was great. Most importance to me was being close to the hospital. Location offered walking distance to almost anything a person would want/need to do. There were lots of good restaurants, shopping, walking, ext.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. I am glad you found our location so convenient. I hope we can welcome you back sometimes, perhaps for a holiday instead of a medical reason. I hope your father is doing well. Jill Love Rooms Division Manager

Closest hotel to Children's Hospital

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Staff were excellent in arranging a different room when we weren't satisfied with the noise level in the street-facing room.
Cons: Noise reduction in north-facing rooms.
Location: On West Broadway - That says it all.
Needed a place to stay to attend a conference at BCCH. An easy bus ride away. Plenty of shopping and groceries in the vicinity. Easy to get to the ferries. Hotel fulfilled it's role as a place to sleep only.

Good hotel in a good location

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Had a great time at the Park Inn while in Vancouver. Stayed for two weeks and it was pleasent and comfortable each night. Must mention the staff who are extremely polite, professional and love doing there jobs. Overall have no complaints. The only negatives however were the coffee maker which didn't work and the shower which was difficult to get working at times.

Dear Azad, Thank you for the kind comments about our great staff! I apologize for the coffee maker and shower, I hope you informed front desk right away. They would bring you up a new and working coffee maker, as well as check that shower right away! Thank you again for staying with us! Best, Sabrina Pontillo Director of Sales

Great location

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: The proximity to downtown/Granville Island was great! Lovely walk.
Cons: Free parking!
Location: We walked to Granville Island which was very pleasant.
We had a 2 night stay at this hotel and for the most part enjoyed our time. It was very noisy but given the busy street one would expect noise.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. Yes, we are on a busy street, so some street noise is unavoidable. We do have rooms on the back of the hotel which are definitely quieter, however you do lose out on the beautiful view of the city. I'm glad you found our location convenient. Overall good

Posted Sep 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
The location was excellent and the view awesome. The beds were good and overall clean. The staff was very good; informative and congenial. There were a couple issues with a drawer that wouldn't stay closed and doors that other residents let slam closed and one night some loud tenants though we were encouraged to report right away, which we had not. Street noise was a little loud as it's located right on a major thoroughfare but when the slider was closed tight most noise was filtered out. Overall a good experience.

Dear P Ramirez, The view is spectacular, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm very sorry that some inconsiderate guests bothered you during your stay. Yes, we do encourage guests to call us if there is unreasonable noise during their stay, particularly after 10pm and before 8am. Our night managers do floor checks regularly but they may not hear what you hear if they are walking down the hallway at a moment that the noise has stopped. We want everyone to enjoy their stay, but sometimes people don't realize how loud their voices (or TV) carries until someone points it out to them. I'm glad you had a good stay despite this one occurence. Jill Love Rooms Division Manager

Great for travel with a baby

Posted Sep 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was so impressed by the helpful staff, especially the housekeeping staff. I was travelling with a baby and they did everything they could to make things easy for me (and even had a rubber duckie on the tub for the little one!). The room was comfortable and clean and the location was very convenient for me. Walking distance to the train and a very walkable area. I would stay here again.

You get what you pay for.

Pros: The staff were very helpful, friendly, and polite.
Cons: Renovating bathrooms and the air conditioning system would go a long way to improving this hotel.
Location: The only thing close by was Granville Island.
Hotels in Vancouver in General are very expensive especially if you want one downtown so we had to pick one on Broadway. The good thing about this location was, it was a 20 min walk from Granville Island but was too far from downtown to walk. It was old, tired looking inside (peeling wallpaper), and had a window air conditioner that blew right on the bed next to it. The staff was lovely and helpful and the cafe next to it was really good. For the price it was ok.

Dear Renate, We have had a particularly busy summer this year and that always pushes the rates up due to lack of availability. Our location is very convenient for most of our guests, but it does depend on what you want to be close to. The Canada Line is only 4 blocks away and takes you downtown in minutes, there are also buses that run regularly outside the hotel that make downtown very accessible. Every year we have improvements that are planned, this year replacing wallpaper is one item on the agenda. The work will start in the late fall once we slow down for a month or two. Thank you for your feedback. Jill Love Rooms Division Manager
