Great Hotel well placed to see all VancouverPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Location and Service
Cons: Rooms starting to become a little tired, but very comfortable overall
Wonderfully located hotel on North Vancouver shoreline. Close to Lonsdale Quay Market Place, and short walk to docklands area with a lot of great history. Seabus, a short walk away to take you across to Downtown Vancouver if that's what you need. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and cannot do enough for you. Terrific meals and service in hotel restaurant and bar, at very reasonable prices.

Great hotel in North VanPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Location, decor, and personnel
Location: See above!
We decided not to stay in downtown Vancouver this time to get a different perspective on the area. The Pinnacle at the Pier is a gem and right on the water, with great views of the Vancouver skyline and the nearby shipbuilding and history. Amenities are excellent, and location is near shopping (Lonsdale Quay Market), restaurants, and public transit. The Seabus is great transportation to be in downtown Vancouver in about 15 minutes for a low fare. Downtown is very walkable and access is great from the Pinnacle. Pool and fitness facilities, as well as decor, are very fine, too. Rooms are comfortable and luxurious. North Van is a unique neighborhood and worth exploring! We loved the whole experience!

Pros: Its location, price, friendly staff, views from our room.
Cons: Nothing of significance.
Location: In North Vancouver, an easy drive to downtown Vancouver. An open market nearby with lots of great restaurants. Adjacent to pier with view of the bay.
This hotel is located in North Vancouver, an easy drive to downtown Vancouver. It has plenty of parking underground. There are lots of great restaurants and a pier nearby. We had a great view of the bay from our room (although it was partially blocked by a huge yellow crane that is positioned near the water). We were there on Canada day (July 1) and experienced a fantastic fireworks display across the bay sitting in our beds in our room. We were never disturbed by the construction taking place nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

A perfect retreat for experiencing VancouverPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location: outside downtown but easily accessible by the sea bus. Lovely views across the bay and Vancouver skyline. Relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Have easier access outside from the pool. Provide a couple of collapsible chairs for the balcony to look out at the bay.
Location: Observation tower, Stanley park, RIB tour of bay, visit of UBC, Capilano bridge, BC Lions match at the stadium, shopping at Pacific Centre.
The Pinnacle hotel provides an ideal location for enjoying Vancouver. The hotel is modern, nice informal bar and dining area and has a very big pool. It is a 5 minute walk to the sea bus terminal which takes 12 mins to cross to Vancouver. Worth taking a day ticket. Lost of things to do: visit the observation tower, Stanley park (pitch & put), UBC, RIB tour of the bay, Football matches at BS Lions' stadium, shopping at Pacific Centre. With a car it is possible to visit Capilano bridge, 15 mins from the hotel. Whistler is under 2 hours and also worth seeing.

Very good hotel close to the market and eating arePosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Everything. The room is comfortable, the bathroom very nice, when you call reception for something or service, the service is quick and efficient.
Cons: It would be nice to have a free complementary breakfast at least. Also it will be nice if the hotel can provide a shuttle bus from the airport.
Location: Not many things to do around there unfortunately.
Very good all round from staff to the comfort at the hotel.

Great view, Great pricePosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The location. From the airport it was just a case of catching the Skytrain which took you straight to the Seabus then just a short walk to the hotel
Location: Close to the Seabus, Lonsdale Quay Markets and bus links up to Capilano and Grouse Mountain
I arrived on an early morning flight so when I turned up at the front desk at 11.30 am I was very pleased when they advised me that my room was ready. And what a room it was, with a fantastic view to match. At night I just left the curtains open so I could go to sleep gazing at the lights of downtown Vancouver. Maid service was extremely good. More than once I went down for breakfast just after 8 and when I came back an hour or so later the room had already been done.

Great location.Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: Location and view. Ease of parking although a charge for that.
Cons: Wish balcony was wider. No outside patio for dining. No vending machines.
Location: Near shopping and sea bus.
Wish the balcony was wide enough for a chair. Lots of construction noise during the day. Nice views and easy to get anywhere. Next to the sea bus and shopping. No vending machines.

Great locationPosted Jun 19, 2014
This hotel is not in Vancouver proper (downtown area), but the location is great. It's a couple of blocks from the seabus terminal, which takes you across the water in 15 minutes for just a couple of dollars. We reserved a waterfront room, which I highly recommend. We had a little balcony & could watch the ships come & go. The room was nicely designed & decorated and very comfortable. The neighborhood wAs lovely with many restaurants nearby, grocery store and drugstore also close. The Lonsdale Quay Market is next to the sea bus and houses many nice vendors. We loved our stay there & were sad to leave. From the airport take the train to the Waterfront Station; transfer to the seabus, walk a couple of blocks, and you're there.

This would rate excellent in all categories however our lovely room on the 4 Th. floor, albeit a water view and view of DT Vancouver was extremely close to a working shipyard. At the time of our stay they were sandblasting a ship and we could hear the noise from early Monday morning through late in the evening. The surrounding area is a bit industrial, although Lonsdale Avenue, just a few blocks away had many services, restaurants, stores etc very convenient. Just don't expect breakfast before 10 am, except at the hotel and very nearby Lonsdale Quay Market!!! Hotel restaurant is fabulous. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast and drinks and appetizers at the "Lobby" Bar. The staff is courteous, friendly and can't do enough for you! I would definitely recommend the hotel, just bring earplugs or listen to music w/ earphones.
