Great location

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Close to Sky Train station, Tim Hortons and two Chinese super markets with food courts. Shuttle service to airport is great. They have fluffy pillows and adjustable sleep number beds. Although, two elevators broke down during check-out time, leaving one elevator going up and down very slowly.

Perfect location in Richmond

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: You won't find many hotels nowadays in Vancouver/Richmond that offer both free parking and free Wi-Fi, which this hotel does.
Cons: You can hear a bit of Sky Train noise, be sure to get a higher floor room. In room safe was locked when we got into the room, so we couldn't use it.
Location: Richmond night market for good food, shopping, entertainment, carnival games, and be with the crowd.
We go to Richmond a lot, and we chose this hotel on this trip for its location - the convenience of getting on Sky Train (station is just across the street) to go to the Richmond Night Market, which is located just one stop from Radisson. In addition, this hotel is right next to Yaohan and Aberdeen Center, our usual hangouts in Richmond. We got a room with regular beds this time, I feel their regular mattress is much more comfortable than their Sleep Number beds. Nice indoor pool which kids enjoyed, housekeeping kept the dry clean towels stacked. Wife got up in middle of night (1:30 am) to use the bathroom, found the door to be locked from inside (kids might have been playing with door before they went to bed). Called the front desk about the problem, and the guy (forgot to get his name) came to our room to unlock the bathroom door for us within 5 minutes of my call, big kudos to the front desk staff!

A nice hotel in a good location

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: very good location.
Cons: We expect there is a bottle of free drinking water for guests but none. The curtain blind is not properly installed, and it cannot be completely shut.
Location: Aberdeen Center is a very unique shopping mall. There are a lot of choices for Chinese food within walking distance.
This is a nice stay. We stayed there three nights. The shower was not strong enough on the 6th floor, but it is excellent on the 9th floor.

Gong Show

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Fast elevators
Cons: Shuttle service
No towels in room, hotel shuttle only leaves every hour which was very inconvenient for our flight time so we had to take taxi and there we're multiple fire alarms going off from 9 to 10 at night.

Thank you for sharing your comments and we do apologize for the issues you experienced. We trust you let us know about the oversight with the towels and that we had fresh towels brought to your room. We do agree the fire alarm this time was a bit of a gong show. Unfortunately, the fire marshal who was in charge that night with the fire department and allows us to silence the alarms insisted on a full building search which is highly unusual. Thus the extent of the length of the alarm. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to be able to welcome you back on a future tirp so we can not only meet, but exceed your expecations. Wins competition for the noisiest hotel on earth!

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Nothing, even getting the lights to work in the room was a nightmare with some requiring the master switch to be turned off.
Cons: The (expensive) rooms were tatty, dark, staff unhelpful to misleading and the noise, I can imagine the airport complaining about the hotel noise.
Location: There is an airport and presumably many better hotels.
The hotel provided the worst night’s sleep I have had in decades – it would have been quieter sleeping at the airport itself. The main noise for the room came from the elevators which both whined and rumbled through the night and could be heard through ear plugs. I asked to change rooms as soon as I entered but there apparently were none available. Around 2.30 am the air con started making a noise like a helicopter taking off and continued for 30 minutes after I switched it off. I called reception but they couldn’t help. In the morning I staggered down for breakfast exhausted hoping to get some respite from the noise to find the continuous toasting machine making a noise like a dentist drill. I commented to the waitress and she said that I only had to suffer it during breakfast – she had to suffer it all morning – and it had been going on for 2-3 months! I asked the reception about it and they blamed it on customers putting the ‘wrong’ things into the machine. I exclaimed that it doesn’t matter – they have a machine making a noise like a dentist drill and they are not doing anything about it! They recommended getting the 12.00 shuttle to the airport for a 1pm flight. I would have missed my flight if it wasn’t for the Air Canada staff who rushed me through to the gate. Waiting for the shuttle in the hotel lobby I realised they had 2 sound systems playing different music and competing for my remaining brain cells. Never again…..Never again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments and please accept our apologies for the noise issues you experienced. We have been running full during the beginning of our summer, thus why it may not have been possible to change your room. We have looked at the toaster andunfortunately, we do not find the noise that you indicate. We are happy to read that you made your flight and we do encourage travellers to ensure they have plenty of time and be aware of airline requirements for check-in and boarding. We hope that you will reconsider staying with us in the future so that we can not only meet, but exceed your expecations. Sincerely, Garrett Ralston Front Office Manager
