Perfect! Fantastic!

Posted Dec 13, 2014
The room is clean. I love rooms with kitchen! and it's really cheap to live this kind of hotel in Downtown. The electricity stopped on 12/2 mid-night in the whole block, but the staff gave us hand light, and the electricity came at 4:00 a.m., just exact the time the staff told us.

Thank you for your review. We love being able t give our guests the option of being able to cook for themselves! Thank you for being so understanding when the entire block lost power last week! We hop to see you again soon! kind regards Jenny Bulmer Assistant Operations Manager

Great short term stay too!

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice and big, the lobby is warm and welcoming. The whole place was fantastic!
Location: We went on the Carol Ships at the harbor - $9 cab ride - totally perfect! We wanted to hit some of the clubs downtown but the beds were too comfy!
We stayed here so we didn't have to go home after our downtown Christmas Party. It was FABULOUS. The room was great - open layout, clean and well stocked kitchenette, bathroom was nice and big, the beds were incredibly comfy. I wish we could have stayed a couple more nights. The hot breakfast was yummy and they had great spaces to enjoy the morning meal. We love trying new places downtown but I think we may have just hit the jackpot.

Impressions are everything.

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Professional polite service at the front desk and staff. Wish I was able to use the pool. Knowing it was there - bonus! Loved the look everywhere.
Cons: Breakfast ends too early. Would like an option for late check out. I would pay extra for this. Restaurant doesn't deliver up to our room? Not cool.
Location: Location was perfect. The area all around is easy to get to like most hotels nearby.
Concierge was pleasing and polite. Room was good. Bathroom door was right near the entrance door. So we didn't care for that. Had company over for about an hour and we really appreciated the tolerance as we did get a bit noisy. Beds/blankets were amazingly comfy. (I have a bad back) I asked for late check out but it was unclear if it could be done. Amazing buffet breakfast, Lots of details for toppings etc. There was no bacon but that's personal preference, Breakfast is till 9:30? This will be considered next time I choose a hotel. We made it in time with all the others who were rushing there. The line was very long. Bottom line I WILL stay here again with a few changes to my liking.

Dear Susie, I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and the hotel. As a Residence Inn, our breakfast hours are the same throughout the brand, and our services are tailored to Extended Stay guests. Our restaurant, in the lobby, is one of our social spaces in the hotel for guests to enjoy. We offer take out but do not provide room service. I'm very pleased to hear you will return and look forward to it. Kind Regards, Suzanne Allemeier, General Manager

Hello Susie I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Our beds are custom made and I agree extremely comfortable! Glad you enjoyed the breakfast offerings, our menu rotates and we do serve bacon some mornings, hopefully next time you stay with us it will be bacon day! Our breakfast hours meet Residence Inn standards and unfortunately it does get busy in the last hour of breakfast service. kind regards Jenny Bulmer Assistant Operations Manager

Excellent visit

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Location, room.
Location: Robson street close by, walked to Burrard Street station.
Showed up early and our room was ready. Nice open room with all amenities. Did not take advantage of the breakfast but was thrilled that it was available.

Clean, Quiet, and Convenient

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Spacious, clean, and modern, suite style room (1602) with comfortable bedding and a full fledged kitchen.
Cons: Heated, Japanese style toilet seats :-)
Location: Grandville Island, highways, bakeries, a good grocery, 100+ restaurants, wine shops, pubs, shopping, all within a 15 minute walk or 3-5 minute drive.
Welcomed by an informative staff. Rooms cleaned by detail oriented people. Better than average breakfast available in a clean, well stocked, friendly, and efficient environment. Good, small gym and Jacuzzi/hot tub. Overall I had a very positive experience in this stylish, reasonably priced, hotel located in a desirable part of a great city. Highly recommended!

Comfy hotel at downtown

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable beds and friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast - menu range is not entirely great; for breakfast, there should be bacon (whether streaky, turkey or back) served and only 2 types of fruits
Location: Location is not bad and lots of shopping and eating places nearby.
Great experience; very helpful and friendly staff, large rooms with adequate facilities and they even have coffee/tea facilities located at 2nd floor 24/7 even though our rooms are equipped with coffee/tea facilities! A pack of specially made popcorns are also given as a welcome snack....love this thought!

Great location and tiny home

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Cons: This is a nit, but the only thing I can really pick on was that there was only a shower (a nice shower) and no tub.
Service at the Residence Inn was wonderful. I interacted with 2 or 3 desk staff and every one was as nice and helpful as could be. Great location - a few blocks from Yaletown; a few from Robson; a longer walk - but still an option - to Chinatown/Gastownt area or to the Coal Harbour area. I didn't get to Sunset Beach or the False Creek seawall/ walkway but those areas also seemed to be within walking distance. I was surprised by how big my room was. Although I was only staying overnight, I would have really appreciated the mini-kitchen for longer stays. I really don't worry much about walking around Vancouver, even, in the evenings, but if you are more cautious you may be put off by some of the homeless people in the area. I had no issues with anyone and the most interaction I had was the occasional "hello". The area is no where near as bad as you see up around Chinatown and the Gastown area.
