Great suite in an amazing location.

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Location, clean, friendly, helpful staff.
Location: Close to everything. We didn't use our car for the 3 days that we were there.
Steps away from Stanley Park. We walked everywhere. The Park, the Aquaruim, beaches, restaurants. Really helpful staff. Will be staying there again.

vintage hotel near Stanley Pk and other features

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Vintage! The bed was comfortable, and it was basically clean throughout. Stayed there many times in the distant past and have always loved the area
Cons: Improve furniture. Cld have more simple/modern decor. Couch looked dirty. TV didn't work, or easily change channels
Location: Great! Stanley Pk, English Bay, boat ride away from Granville Mkt, good transportation, great places to eat, shop, neighbourhood felt safe and quiet
1. grad party across the hall meant that along with other residents on the 3rd floor, we didn't get a restful sleep and worse, constant running in and out of the hotel into the street (loud laughter and screams) probably affected residents in the area as well as my suite facing the street (cld do better job at screening potential guests) 2. yappy dog throughout the day (and probably left unattended) on my floor was annoying 3. kitchen smelled mouldy from sink area - couch looked used and dirty 4. had most of the amenities needed to function (iron, hair dryer, and for those who cook, provided a well stocked kitchen) Staff was accommodative and apologetic

Close, quiet, convenient. A gem.

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Very quiet - both in the hotel and in the surrounding area. Very comfortable beds and well-appointed rooms.
Cons: While I enjoy exercise rooms and/or pools, it would not be practical to ask for it.
Location: Stanley Park has an abundance of activities/quiet spaces. Wonderful restaurants/shops and virtually everything you need for a short or long stay
I normally stay in hotels when I have to go into Vancouver. This time of year, hotels are both expensive and fully booked. Rosellen Suites was a real find. I was close to Stanley Park, so it was quiet. One of my favourite coffee shops, Milano, is one block north on Denman. The suite was fabulous -- two bedrooms, one and a half baths, a dining room, a huge, bright kitchen and a spacious living room. The suites are on one of the original small apartment blocks so pleasantly ubiquitous throughout the west end. When I was a kid, this was the only type of apartment building in the area. Very serene and stately. It was a very pleasant 8 minute walk to my meeting.

Great location for convention centre and downtown

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Good size apartment and secure parking.
15min walk along the sea wall from the convention centre, and a short taxi ride at night. Great spot near Denman Street with all it's nightlife.

Spacious room close to the Park

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Access to downtown and Stanley Park
Cons: More available parking.
Location: Ideally located for anyone wanting to bike or walk in Stanley Park. Also easy to access any of the downtown Vancouver sites on the waterfront.
We were traveling with another couple, and because they weren't able to give us adjoining rooms, we received an automatic upgrade to a beautiful suite! Comfortable beds, warm showers, fluffy towels!

Great location

Posted May 23, 2014
Pros: The location was fantastic, in a quiet neighbourhood yet within walking distance of everything we needed.
Cons: The room was a bit warm, and there did not appear to be air conditioning. In the heat of summer this may have been a problem.
Location: At the western end of downtown, less than a block from Stanley Park. A short walk to the beach, the Lost Lagoon, the harbour, or the aquarium.
This hotel is within walking distance of Stanley Park, the harbour, the aquarium, the beach, and plenty of restaurants and shops. We loved not having to worry about renting a car. The hotel manager was extremely helpful and friendly, recommending restaurants and helping us to get discounts on admission to attractions. Each room is an apartment with living and dining areas and a full kitchen.

As I Entered the building I was greeted by a very friendly manager and immediately showed me how to go to places and a map ready for us to use and names of restaurants we could go that are affordable but good. Overall I was very satisfied. Little imperfection didn't matter. Underground parking was tight

Must take stairs everywhere to access hotel, difficult if you are wheeling luggage. Excellent staff and a good room.
