The room was a bit small for our family of four but overall it worked for us for one night.

Clean, comfortable hotel at a great location

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: The location and the staff were both excellent.
Cons: The parking stalls in the parkade are very small and it is difficult to find a spot.
Location: Really liked that Gastown was close by, and several other tourist attractions.
This hotel is clean and has comfortable beds. The staff was very attentive, and it was extremely simple and pleasant to check in and check out. We spent three nights there with two different rooms. I would recommend asking for a room that faces the street though, as the back lane view is not very nice, and the garbage trucks are very loud early in the morning.

Centrally located, clean, and has a lovely pool!

Pros: The pool, the location, the price!
Cons: The cable TV was pretty disappointing. There was no Food Network (this is a "First World Problem"). A High Def TVwith no High Def channels; terrible;)
Location: You're one block from Robson St., one blk. from Rogers' Arena and BC Place, the Queen E. theatre is across the street; shall I go on?
My experience at the Sandman was perfectly acceptable. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was small, but clean and well organized. The pool was quiet and very warm! For the price, the location was excellent.

okay hotel that shows it's age

okay hotel for business stay in Vancouver. Easy walk to the ChinaTown Sky Train station, which made travel convenient. Room was very small but moderately comfortable and clean. The whole place had a 80's feel and seemed dated. Fixtures in the room (towel racks, switches) were broken but functional. Terrible view of an alley from my window. In room internet worked, but business center charged by the minute for printing. Staff was minimally helpful but not polite. Overall a disappointment and I would not stay again, given the better options in the area.

We had a blast staying at the sandman hotel. However, the room was fairly clean with a few things missed by the house keeping staff.

Good location close to many attractions

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: It is very clean The staff is wonderful and the Restaurant Moxies has excellent food and services :)
Cons: The Parking situation, read above "about your experience statement "
Location: For Hockey lovers it is almost beside Rogers stadium Very close to Vancouver Port and VFS where our daughter attends school
If you stay there and drive in make absolutely sure they tell you exactly where under ground secure gated parking garage is It was absolutely not indicated, our vehicle was broken into the first night leave nothing in sight, which we never do but were so tired we forgot a few things The sign for the gated garage was not visible, once we found where it was after the fact the sign was actually the wrong way :( I hope it has been corrected ? Other then that Hotel is excellent and clean, its just a big city and transients are everywhere ! SO just beware! Live and learn is what we say. Be safe and street savvy
