convenient to the airport

Posted May 25, 2015
This is a hotel where I have stayed many times over the past 40 plus years. It is still a good place but not quite the place it used to be. Many of the facilities need an overhaul BUT I will go back again if I have kids with me.

Close to airport

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros:
A little further out of town that I had hoped but good link to airport and they stored my luggage when I dŵent on a short internal trip for a few days. 15mins walk to Skytrain and access to downtown Vancouver. I stayed for two sessions of four days over weekends with a trip inland during the week. Indoor pool shallow about 3 foot, almost impossible to swim in for an adult. Some areas of the hotel looked a bit tired. I was allocated a room on the second weekend without net curtains and working TV, but I was quickly moved to another room. Although the safe didn't work and one of the bathroom lights had a wiring problem it was generally quiet and adequate. Chop restaurant was excellent and the staff very efficient and friendly, similarly at reception. I would probably go back again despite the .ocation.

Comfortable environment

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: - Overall décor of interiors were modern and welcoming - Staff was friendly and helpful - Comfortable bedding
Cons: Some parts seemed worn, such as the outdoor swimming pool or bathroom. Bathroom fan was also squeaky. But they work on updates like with the carpet.
Location: Located directly off the freeway. It may not be the best choice if you do not have a car, but great if you do. It is very close the Asian businesses
Few of us decided to travel from Seattle for a few days mainly to visit the Richmond Night Market for it's debut. Check in process was easy, and the front desk gave us a map with clear directions of how to get to our room (there are a number of towers/buildings that are all linked together to form the hotel). They did mention the ground floor did not have carpet at the time as it was being replaced and gave us the option to select a room from the second floor, we declined. Outdoor pool was not open at the time, but we weren't really there for the pool; the indoor water slide did look like it would be fun, and we wished we had time to go check that out. Room was very spacious. The window side of the room was taken up by sliding doors on that entire side, which was adjacent to the rear parking lot. The beds and couch were all very comfortable and helped me a lot in adjusting to jet lag as I had just travelled to Asia. Restroom facilities were standard; shower had good hot water and pressure. Hotel WiFi was speedy. Staff was very friendly and efficient when we needed extra items such as shampoo or blankets. The lounge and restaurant at the hotel looked very nice, but we did not have a chance to visit. They have pet friendly rooms available in one of the towers.

Great for park and fly

Posted May 14, 2015
Hotel is undergoing some renovations but it didn't interfere with our stay. Lots and parking and free shuttle to the airport. Two restaurants on site (Chop and Denny's) to suit any budget. This is our go to hotel when we need to park and fly.

Nice and close to Airport

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Proximity to airport and Vancouver
Cons: the availability to have a coffee in the afternoon. Their coffee counter was closed in the morning after the 'rush'
Location: we weren't there as tourists but a traveler could go to Vancouver easily by way of skytrain from Richmond
Initially there was a problem with our room's air conditioning and they cheerfully moved us to another room. Both rooms were clean and well equipped. Staff was very pleasant.

Good hotel, partially updated. It would have been nice if they renewed some old furniture in the rooms. Otherwise, good.

Airport hotel

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Very clean and polite staff.
Cons: Would like to see TV to have BNN. Road signs indicating access to hotel.
Location: Access to hotel is kind of confusing when trying to get there for first time. Road signs may be needed.
Enjoyed my stay. Close to Richmond city centre but away from traffic congestion.
