Nice place (with an asterisk)

The hotel room was clean and comfortable, quiet and spacious. The continental breakfast was quite tasty. I would be sure to confirm that the hotel location is suitable for us in the future as it is located in the mostly residential West End, which is quite far from most "attractions".

A Great Hotel With Spacious Rooms

Posted May 24, 2014
We received the friendliest welcome we have ever received at a hotel. The clerk, who we believe was named Annabelle, provided a great deal of information about the sites in Vancouver. Annabelle informed us that we had been "upgraded", probably because we had booked the room with Expedia. Our "room" turned out to be a one bedroom apartment with a large living room, full kitchen, bedroom and large bathroom. The hotel is very near the restaurants and bars on Davie Street. If you walk down Davie Street, you can dine in a restaurant as the sun sets on English (Bay) Beach. The hotel is also close to the ferry for Granville Island and Stanley Park. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great Value

We stayed only 1 night prior to a cruise, but we would stay here next time we come to Vancouver. Very clean. Extremely helpful staff. 2 blocks from older area with many restaurants. Close to park on west side. Terrific.

Pros: Comfort of room. Central location. Nice neighborhood. Free parking. Great value!
Cons: Quality of breakfast.
Location: Around the corner from Davie Village where there are many good restaurants. A few blocks away from Stanley Park and ferry to Granville Island.
Nice spacious rooms on executive/top floors. Excellent central location.

Great location

Location: Granville Island is a short ferry ride away and an afternoon well spent for foodies.
Loved staying here! The team at the desk were friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help us plan our day. The neighourhood was great, an easy walk down to the sea wall or to down town. The room was nice and spacious and really clean.

Worth the price.

Courteous staff, close to restaurants, clean rooms, easy to walk to English bay or Granville Island. The price includes breakfast, parking and internet. I don't mind paying a little more to stay in a place that's this excellent. Have stayed there three times now and haven't been disappointed. I would recommend to everyone.

Nice, could be better

Pros: Front office staff is very nice. There is mn with glasses. He is the best of all.
Cons: Breakfast menu is bland. Same multigrain bagels everyday, Croissants comes out from a bulk bag sometimes crushed. No boiled eggs even.
Location: Davie street is a block away with Shoppers, Safeway nd lots of multicuisine restaurants. Sunset beach is 200 metres to the right at the end of Thurlow
This hotel is in a residential area. If you are oming from Airport, Burnby street is closed at Thurlow street. Front view can easily missed with a small Nameplate. What prevents them from putting a lit sign on the building I don't know?
