nice hotel
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: Just about every thing
Cons: no central air. On a hot day it could be a problem but wasn't for our stay
Location: Just around the corner was a popping nightlife area with shops, bars and places to eat. The hop on hop off bus stop was half a block away.
This hotel was located on a neighborhood street, which made it feel almost like an apt. The room was large with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. It was close to restaurants and nightlife. We spent one evening setting on your private balcony watching the local people go about their business. The staff was very helpful and there was gated parking. Very nice hotel and would stay there again. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Overnight in Vancouver
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: See above.
Cons: Not a thing. It was perfect for us.
Location: Lots of shopping, places to eat, coffee houses, and only a 15 minute walk to the beach.
We were going on the Disney Wonder cruise from Vancouver to Alaska, so we stayed the night in Vancouver before boarding the next morning. However, we had never been to the city before so we were flying blind as to where to stay. The hotel we found on line was full, but Expedia suggested Sunset Inn and Suites as an alternate. We made reservations there and were a little concerned about it because we had never heard of the place. No worries! It was a quaint inn on an avenue that was impressively green with towering trees. The service was fantastic, and the rooms clean and spacious, with a separate bedroom, kitchen, large living room and plenty of closet space. If you're doing the Disney cruise or at any other time you're in Vancouver with a larger family, this place is perfect because you only need to rent one room. It's within walking distance of all kinds of shops as well. Because it's not a huge place the staff has more time for you, and they're extremely helpful. If you're driving, there's an underground garage as well. Try it!

Lovely hotel suite with kitchen

Had a lovely 2 night stay at Sunset Inn and Suite. Wish we had more time to spend in the suite because it was so nice. Kitchen with fridge and stove was convenient, room was clean, bed was very comfortable, staff was friendly. Parking included was a big bonus. Easy walk to downtown. Complimentary breakfast was as expected -- croissants, bagels, fruit, coffee, toast. Overall, great stay.

Enjoyed our 7 days in Vancouver at the Sunset Inn.

Pros: Quiet residential street. Great view from the balcony. Friendly staff.
Cons: Parking is tight in back.
Location: Short stroll to the water taxi for Granville Island or to the downtown area.
Hotel is well located to both Granville Island and downtown. Short stroll to.both. On a nice tree lined residential street. Staff is very helpful. Kitchen was well equipped. Room was clean and even the sofa bed was fairly comfy as wife and daughter had the bedroom. Wife used the exercise room on the first floor as well as the laundry room. Nice that they provide free laundry soap. All in all a great hotel. We will stay again next time we're in Vancouver.
