Intersting HotelPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Design / concept
Cons: In-room coffee and a little upkeep aka dead bolt needs to work...
The hotel parking is hard to find - but once found it is very quaint and secure. The staff was friendly during check-in and the room was very modern. Problem I had was the dead bolt wouldn't lock and they said there was nothing they could do? Wasn't the response I was looking for - so I pushed and they moved me rooms... The in-room coffee maker only makes 1oz or something like that - it is a sip of coffee and done - not a full cup of coffee - I think it is supposed to be weak espresso or a really small dark coffee? And the sound when it goes off is really really loud! I just want a fresh single cup of coffee in the morning and this didn't do it...good thing there is a coffee house near by! Over all it was a nice place with a little upkeep issues.

Pros: We liked everything and the bikes that we could borrow for free were an extra bonus.
Location: It is situated close to everything in down town Vancouver.
We stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The hotel is cool and we liked it from the first moment. Everyone working there was also happy, nice and polite.

The Burrard downtown VancouverPosted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Location, convenience, value.
Cons: My only negative feeling was that I felt the bed was a little uncomfortable, but others may not feel that way.
Location: Anything you can't walk to, you can take the Vancouver transit system cheaply. We bought all day transit passes at the 7/11 next door for under $10.
My wife and I spent three nights at the Burrard. The renovation made it a convenient place to stay in downtown Vancouver for a very reasonable price. We were able to walk to many places including the north waterfront and the sea busses to north Van and to Granville Island water taxi. Lots of bars, restaurants, stores within walking distance. The room was small but comfortable and the parking was gated so we felt comfortable leaving our car there. You are in the middle of downtown of a big city so there are normal city noises like sirens and cars screeching and people yelling, but with a fan going in our room it did not bother us. There is a small coffee shop attached to the hotel serving breakfast sandwiches, lunch and snacks. And draft craft beer! Staff was friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros: The location and the price were excellent.
Cons: The room was quite warm.
Location: We loved the shopping and the sea wall that were near by. Also close to Granville Island.
Everything was within walking distance. The staff was amazing and always ready to help. The complimentary fitness facility was very near by and great. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back.
