TAKEN CARE OF

Posted Jul 2, 2015
The staff was 5 star plus!!! Helped us with directions, free bikes, help with things to do and also when it applied gave us coupons. Also had a smile in their face. The housekeeping, especially Rosa was so kind and also asking if we needed anything. The only thing we would like was more clothing space in the room.

Quaint Boutique Hotwl

Posted Jun 30, 2015
First staff is excellent, but if you like large rooms and bathrooms this is not your place. Rooms on the front tend to be noisy as they're facing a busy street and hospital. Be aware the AC is a floor unit in the room. Glad to have it in the recent heat wave. Sink was way too small for much use. There is also some sort of rehab center next door and although it didn't cause us any problems, the folks waiting to be let in were a bit sketchy. If you want something different, give it a try, but I think I'm a major brand hotel kind of girl.

Cute Retro No Frills Boutique Motel

Posted Jun 17, 2015
The check in was very quick and we needed a few extra keys and they had no problem with that. We got one king room and the room was a decent size, definitely not large but enough space to walk around the bed and place luggage on the floor by the window. The rooms were clean and bathroom was also recently redone. Ice is on the main floor past reception and that is where you will find a pile of ice cute and colorful ice buckets (not in your room), there was also a empty fridge in our room. There is a portable air conditioning unit that kept the room cool and you can also move it a little to face the bed. The courtyard in the centre of the building is cute, we didn't sit out there there but were some people sitting at the picnic tables playing cards and having a drink. We were on the 3rd floor, right out front the elevator which I thought I would not be pleased about but it turned out ok, especially since we were facing Burrard Street and easy access to the stairs. I would not want to be facing the back alley. Location is pretty central to all areas of downtown. Lots of restaurant options on Davie Street and Granville Street. The overall stay was nice. Definitely a cute place to stay while on a budget!

Good location

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Swamp cooler in room does the job but is loud. Bed is comfy. "free" water but no refills on second night. Some space in atrium area to get together with the other 2 couples we were with but not as comfortable as it appears in pictures. There is a 7-11 on the corner if you need anything and a security guard in the lobby on Saturday night for protection. Didn't have any issues when we were there.

Good value near shopping

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Beds, courtyard, air conditioning
Cons: Larger bathroom sinks
Location: Dining, shopping, Granville Island is a cab ride away
Comfortable beds, new fixtures. The bathroom sink was rather small. Each room has an air conditioner which was great to have during our stay. Nice courtyard. Some room to room noise.

No added cost.

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: Room doors open to fresh air and plantings. Option to recycle everything!
Cons: Shampoo was awkward to use, but I'm sure a quick call to the front desk would have resolved the issue.
Location: Walking distance to Sunset Beach and English Bay, restaurants and shopping on Davie Street. Use of Steve Nash gym and Vancouver aquatic center.
The Burrard is a pleasant Hotel close to everything. Clean, comfortable, surprisingly quiet. Not fancy but no added costs for bikes, phone, water, coffee. Didn't use bellboys or valet but didn't pay for them either.

Location: Walking distance to Canada Place, Granville Island, Gastown & if you are energetic Stanley Park.
Older hotel, clean, comfortable with very good staff. Within walking distance to a lot of things. Good location for shops & places to eat. We enjoyed our stay there.

Gute Lage und nettes Personal

Posted Jun 3, 2015
