the gold floor worth it

Pros: the gold floor staff
Cons: the pool experience leaves a lot to be desired. not a very attractive place to relax in.
Location: the sky train just outside the door.. just be sure to grab your ticket at the 7 - 11 to avoid the airport fee.
even if I wasn't on the gold floor... I would have said this place is worth a stay. convenient if you are flying out the next day.. or a quick stop over on a long trip home. food was excellent in the restaurant. the gold room has its own light snack bar on the floor.. so very quiet and relaxing. I wouldn't go here for the swimming pool. but everything else was fantastic.

overnight stay with infant between connections

room was very clean and room service was excellent. They had a crib with a diaper bin, and all the trimmings to take care of our son during our stay.

We got here early and since room isnt available, they gave us an upgraded one.

Pros: close to the airport
Cons: asked for a wake up call never got one .good thing we also had our own alarm set .
A little disappointed as i booked the room many months ahead of our stay and ended up with a handicapped room .

Great Hotel, Right at YVR

Right at the airport so it is very convenient for those early flights. The staff were all incredibly friendly. We had an issue with our shower but they sent a maintenance person up within 5 minutes and he was able to deal with it. Would definitely stay here again.

An Oasis of Calm

The Fairmont was elegant, it's uber-efficient staff was cheerful & and helpful. A Zen calm in the midst of baggage, planes and life on the fast-track. Charging for wi-fi use in the room. Not cool.

Pros: Everything but the somewhat saggy mattress.
Cons: The mattress is,definitely ready to be replaced. Still a comfy bed,tho.
Great staff, food, location. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, ocean.

Checked in very late as our flight was delayed. Upgreded our room. Check in was quick and check out just as easy. Very quiet and comfortable.

Right at Airport

Pros: Everything! Located at the Alaska Airlines gates, just up the stairs to security and to final boarding gate. Lots and lots of eartery places.
Cons: It was everything we needed for our visit at the time.
Location: Location great for airport access of food and shopping.
We had a very early call for a flight and decided to spend a little extra money for this luxury. It was the best decision we've ever made. Got to sleep in a little longer, lots of food places, staff very friendly & professional, an internet corner we could use to print out boarding passes, and the room and amenities were wonderful including the very extra large picture window of the airport. And it was very, very quiet!
