Convenient and Spacious

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Conveniently located for the Skytrain (<0.5 mile from Yaletown Roundhouse station), very close to bus tours and with shops and close by, this is an ideal location if you want space (especially for families) for short or long stays. This is our second stay, just one night before transferring on to an Alaska Cruise. Reception staff organised our transfer to the cruise terminal on the complimentary shuttle bus. Had everything we needed and would return.

Great stay at Landis Hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Location: -There is an awesome playground about 2 blocks away! -We walked to take a ferry to Granville Island. -Buses run frequently near the hotel.
Pros: -The executive suite was spacious and great for our family. We had a separate room that our toddler age son was able to sleep in. It was great to have a kitchen and dining area as well. -Friendly staff. All the staff was very helpful in giving us directions to nearby attractions. -A pool! A decent sized pool and hot tub. There was also an outdoor terrace area with a fire pit. -Free breakfast. Decent spread of baked goods. No hot items. -A free shuttle was able to take us back to the train station the day we left. Very convenient! Cons: -Noisy at night time. Hotel is located in an area with lots of nightlife. No fault of the hotel but something to consider.

Bad Service

Posted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
At check-in they were not able to pull up my reservation from hotels.com despite me giving them my confirmation number for my stay. After 15 minutes of searching there system they found my reservation under Expedia which makes no sense because I booked it through hotels.com. So after we check in and get to our room we find an ironing board in the middle of the living room, Garbage all over the place and big recycling bin. The cleaning lady shows up 2 hrs after we've checked in and starts to question why we're in the room that we've been assigned too. After clarifying with her that we are in fact in the correct room. She cleans up the garbage and leaves. The overall experience was horrible, Had I not been in a rush to leave the next day I would have requested some sort of compensation. The room it self was quite big and spacious but the service was just horrible.

Close to restaurants, shopping, and transit

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The hotel is very close to various bus routes and less than a 10-minute walk to a metro station. It was also relatively soundproof so ambulance and police sirens to the nearby hospital were not loud, especially at night. There were 5 of us (two families) in a 2-bedroom suite, which had two full bathrooms and a full kitchen. The breakfast that is included was good as they provide various breads, cereal, juices, and fruit, although I would have liked to have seen yogurt and even hard cooked eggs added to the menu. We would definitely stay there again.

Great for the family

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Good location and comfortable for my 5 person family
Cons: The beackfast menu could be improved as i would have liked more hot meal selction
Location: We like that we could walk to anything including the small ferry to Grandville island
It was a $10.00 taxi ride to Rogers stadium for a concert, but because we had 5 people we had to take two cabs. Was hoping that the hotel shuttle could have taken us but it only ran till 6:30 pm.Overall we had a great stay

Great value

The hotel is in a great location. Our suite was very large and comfortable for a few people. It had everything we needed. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful as well. I did not try the pool or have the complimentary breakfast, so I cannot comment on that.
