Great for the family

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Good location and comfortable for my 5 person family
Cons: The beackfast menu could be improved as i would have liked more hot meal selction
Location: We like that we could walk to anything including the small ferry to Grandville island
It was a $10.00 taxi ride to Rogers stadium for a concert, but because we had 5 people we had to take two cabs. Was hoping that the hotel shuttle could have taken us but it only ran till 6:30 pm.Overall we had a great stay

Great value

The hotel is in a great location. Our suite was very large and comfortable for a few people. It had everything we needed. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful as well. I did not try the pool or have the complimentary breakfast, so I cannot comment on that.

Lots of space for the price.

We didn't realize that we were getting 2 bedrooms at this rate. We didn't need the second bedroom but if you are traveling with a family I'm sure you would find this useful. The rooms and decorations are nice. Nothing spectacular. But the location was great. We could walk to lots of restaurants, shopping, Stanley Park and the waterfront.

may be good for family but not for business travel

Pros: the gym that they share with the marriott residence is very nice
Cons: customer service principles were non existent, the hotel rooms could use a check over by staff to ensure all items are operational
disappointed right from the start beginning 15 minute check in (without apology), apparently they could not find my booking, two alarm clocks that did not work, a coffee maker did not work - and if it had, there was no creamer in sight.

Sofa bed not that comfortable. Otherwise we had a great stay (4 adults plus 6 kids plus baby in our own crib).

Easy Access to downtown Vancouver and airport

Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Large rooms
Cons: Furnishings and breakfast room needs to be spruced up
Spacious rooms but needs some sprucing up. Hotel is located convenient to downtown and airport. Neighborhood is being developed as Vancouver is booming. Some stores and restaurants nearby are iffy but look like they are being pushed out as more upscale stores move in. Gentrifying neighborhood. Residence Inn is next door but it was booked up. Looks very nice and is the better of the two.
