“Wonderful Family Getaway”
We stayed here for 3 days with our 2 boys aged 6 and 12 during Thanksgiving week, as a short getaway and an excuse to let a restaurant do the cooking. Loved this place. You're right on the seawall/boardwalk, surrounded on 3 sides by water and the boats of Coal Harbour's marinas, and are adjacent to Stanley Park and all its beauty and activities. It's an easy (and scenic) 10-15 minute walk to Canada Place, Burrard Street, Robson Street and all their shops, restaurants and theatres - but there are also excellent restaurants steps away from the hotel, notably Cardero's on the water which we loved, and the hotel's own bar-and-grill. And from the Burrard St Skytrain station you can get all over Vancouver. This is one town where it's really foolish to rent a car unless absolutely essential, especially now that Skytrain extends to the airport. Cabs are also plentiful and reasonable, and take credit cards without complaint. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms quite comfortable and we were upgraded to a larger corner room in the tower with a spectacular view of the harbor and city lights (highly recommend the tower, ask for high-as-possible). Big indoor pool with the fitness room overlooking it, making it easy for us to workout while monitoring the kids swimming. I've traveled to Vancouver dozens of times in the last 20 years and stayed in many of the hotels - this is my new favorite.
“Medium 4 Star Hotel”
The room had a lovely view and great location. The bed was too soft so was a bit uncomfortable for me but not terrible. The room was clean. I was not too excited to learn there was a $36 parking fee! They did offer help with that at the front desk though by informing us that as long as we moved the car before 9am we could park on the metered street just outside the hotel grounds. Very helpful staff. It was a moderate 4star hotel and thank goodness it was off season or I would not have been happy to pay their summer season rate. But since it was Oct the value was excellent!
“Marvelous in every way! The best hotel of this category I've ever stayed at!”
This hotel is magnificent for a 4star property. The location is perfect with views of the waterway filled with sea life, rowing crews, an elegant marina and walking path parallel to it. It is also next to the city's main park. The pools are nicely heated with nice towels and chairs. The staff is outstanding, warm, and gracious. The bell staff greeted us warmly each time and (attempted to) decline extra tips. The menu is filled with foods that are both healthy and appetizing! It's a great relief when you are a frequent traveler and used to "hotel banquet-bland" food.
“Awesome Hotel in Vancouver”
We really enjoyed our stay! Would stay there again. There was a mix up on the type of room we thought we had booked. This in no way was the fault of The Westin. I am going to contact Expedia in reference to the photo they show on their website. It was VERY misleading. The hotel still made our stay comfortable. The hotel was sold out so the staff was unable to place us in the room we thought we were getting. The hotel is centrally located. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to Stanley Park and Robson Street. Many restuarants are within walking distance.
“First Class Hotel”
Having never visited Vancouver before I chose the Westin Bayshore from the description on Expedia. I made a good choice. When I checked in and arrived at our room I was alittle disappoint because I thought I had booked a room overlooking the main harbor but found the room had a different outlook. I requested a change and immeadiately was given a room with a magnificent harbour view. It made our holidy. There was always some activity on the waterfront from cruise ships docking to the float planes landing and taking off. The walk along the sea wall had cyclists. joggers, dog walkers and lots of people enjoying the outdoors. A night the views and the lights of the boats and the skyscaper properties were magnificent. The hotel staff were all friendl, attentive and always pleased to help. I will certainly stay here for my next visit. Vancouver is a beautiful city with so much to offer the visitor. Can't wait to go back.
“Perfect beginning to our Alaska vacation!”
We were extremely satisfied with all aspects of the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. We spent two nights before boarding the Coral Princess cruise ship. We had a room with a beautiful view of the harbor. It was clean, comfortable, and very convenient for ship boarding. Since the hotel is just outside Stanley Park, we rented bikes (across the street) and spent an entire day in the park. It was the perfect beginning to our Alaska vacation!
“very convenient Hotel to be Downtown Vancouver”
A great Hotel location for Vancouver
“Reasonably priced 4 star hotel”
Good location, nice view, reasonable price.
“Great Place to Stay”
This hotel is on the edge of downtown near Stanley Park. Great restaurants, bike rentals and boats within easy walking. The views from the rooms are spectacular. The staff are responsive and helpful. The bar has a nice ambiance with good views of the water as well. I like the gym and the indoor and outdoor pool choice.
“Perfect in every regard!”
It was glamourous, luxurious, great location, incredible views from the room, and very responsive customer care.
